Tokidensho is Tecmo's own inspiration on Asuka 120% & Street Fighter Alpha 2 while DOA is Tecmo's own inspiration on Virtua Fighter though.
another good 1996 fighting game is Virtua Fighter 3, which had the best graphics for '96 thanks to the most powerful Model3 arcade machine.
