It's not exactly something I believed but I was scared of a statue because I always imagined it awakening and chasing me.

I believed in something that I imagined like a green otter with a trunk, it came to my mind after hearing some classmates talking about something I don't knew.

I believed candies were free. When I was 8 years old, I didn’t know what money was. The school where I studied used to sell candies, but I never saw anyone buying it, just eating. So, one day, I went to the canteen and asked some candies, when the school employee said I had to pay for it, I got confused and had to ask to my parents what she was talking about when I got back home that day.

Well, according to Dragon Ball Super you must concentrate your energy in your back or something to become super, so maybe you should try that.

I always knew money existed, although I had problems to understand how it really worked.
Like going to buy a drink and leaving the place without waiting for the change, as I only knew it costs "money"

I hated and feared the older people in higher grades in our school, as they were always picking on us, making fun of whatever we were doing and so on, I thought they just knew where we were going to be and when, who was going to be doing something funny and everything else, as in my eyes they looked as if they appeared from nowhere.

Let's be honest, we all think really silly things at some point... And I thought it would be fun to see their different beliefs.

    I start.

In my childhood, I believed that on television there were little people who acted every time you watched a program.
In my childhood, I believed that I could talk to animals if I tried to imitate them in the way they communicate.
In my childhood, I believed that superheroes existed and I always pretended to be in trouble...
For that reason I fell out of my bed trying to pretend to be in trouble.

I guess the strangest belief wins...
My thoughts were exactly the same. I'm not even talking about that feeling after learning that they're not real.

Well, in my country they call people "dirty mouth" who say a lot of insults and curses.

So, in my childhood, I was beginning to speak a little inappropriate words... Then my mother told me as a false threat that she was going to wash my mouth with soap to "clean my mouth"
With what he told me, I was very afraid and stopped doing it.
After that, I got into the habit of not saying those words.

Some time later, I was very angry with a classmate and I said a very strong word... But since I had become used to not saying those words, I felt gravely guilty.
So I went to the school bathroom, took out the soap and washed my mouth with soap several times...

Mothers always create some things to scare their children and force them to do what they want lol

    Friends who hate you?
I'm really sorry about what happened to your friends... I guess you could try apologizing to them.
    You can!

I would probably say the time where my parents said if I got out of bed late at night a monster would hurt me lol! I can't believe I was so gullible back then! Funny memories though.

I remember thinking eggs were made in stores, not coming from chickens.

I had quite a morbid imagination when I was little. Whenever it was windy and the roof creaked I got worried because I thought there were tigers living in the attic and that noise was them walking about. I also remember thinking the in-store security cameras they used to have in Boots stores (which looked black, globe-shaped, shiny and covered in little lenses) were the Daleks watching us.Click image for larger version.

When I was a kid, I thought there were more months after December. I also thought that if there was a hole in the wall close to the floor, mice had to live their.

    When I was a kid:
I used to believe the world was black and white due to old photos my parents had around the house
I used to believe employees in stores were robots
I used to believe that if you swallow watermelon seeds, a watermelon will grow in your stomach
