My guess is that this game was made for Godfather's fans. and it successfully sold a lot of copies, and it got really good reviews. specially PS3, XBOX 360, PC versions.
also playing a game that takes you from a different timeline than today's is actually very enjoyable. if you gave this game a try, I'm sure you'll probably like it. it all depends on the player. I personally like it, and I totally recommended for anyone who hasn't play it yet.
