    Default add ex moves, add sprites?

    Noob here. If I'm adding ex moves, do I also need to add glowy sprites for those moves? Or does the engine know through the code?

    I only know a little but in the POTS/Cvs style...

    Keep in mind that it only works in states 1000-2999, this can be modified in the triggers above.

    I had to change State -3 to State -1, but it worked! Thanks!

    Would you happen to know:
    1. how to make the character invulnerable for the first hit?
    2. how to speed up the EX special move?
    3. the general rule of thumb for how much % more damage it should do than the regular move?

    To make the character invulnerable, copy this code.

    [State 3000, NotHitBy]
    type = NotHitBy
    trigger1 = AnimElemTime(X) < 0
    time = 1
    value = SCA

    Note that X represents the animation number up to where you want the invulnerability to last]


    To speed up EX movement, you just have to reduce a few frames of the animation. I recommend reducing the time before the character attacks, you can also add a little time when he attacks, this allows a small advantage.

    To increase the damage, if you are a POTS/Cvs style character, I usually add it according to the proportion of the damage scale, since these movements cause more damage if you do them with strong buttons.
    Another way I have:
    I add 7 to 20 damage, depending on the magnitude of the attack or the character that performs it.
