a toxic fandom i don't hear many people talk about is the tf2 fandom. everyone talks about how overwatch has a toxic community while tf2 is "welcoming and chill!" but that's such a bold-faced lie.

tf2 is a fandom filled with tryhards that make the game unfun, friendlies that throw a fit if you play the game, neckbeard faction wars over a pve gamemode's meta, people whining about how youtubers that don't want to play the game anymore are "betraying them", people who aimbot servers for attention and laughs, and a lot more. there's some good people in the fandom too, and some amazing workshop creators, but two good apples don't save the barrel.

it's a shame too, because tf2's a great game. it doesn't deserve this.
