Huh, I never heard about the Ingrid being too anime thing, they should look at everybody else then.
Anyway, if she ever gets a 3d model she probably will look like any other character, there is not any law to her looking anime forever, I think.

You're actually right about the 3D model, she appeared in SFV as alternate costume for Karin and she looks very normal.

Still from time to time I tend to see the "Too anime" comment and the "She belongs in Blazblue" comment. Like I said I don't like her backstory, but I don't think the design is that bad. Especially because there's worst designs in the series compared to Ingrid.

I actually really don't mind Nameless from KOF2002UM, I like him more than K9999 and definitely not as infringing.

I like both, though i am kind of more of K9999 fan but i really like Nameless too, i respect your opinion though.

He really deserved to get killed by Shinji in episode 24!

And please do not get me started on Shinji X Kaworu.....

No, I hate everybody in that franchise, including him, but now you mention it, everybody's favorite seems to be Asuka, who is the most unbearable and hateful character of them all to me.

Ingrid from Street Fighter: I can understand the hate of her from being a lame mary sue goddess. But saying she doesn't fit because she is"Too anime" Doesn't make sense. Especially because SF has been anime since SF Alpha and she really isn't that different from Karin design wise. If anything I wish Capcom made a new Ingrid with a different backstory like they did with Ruby Heart that would fit well in SF and using the original Mary Sue Goddess only in crossovers, kinda like what SNK did with Athena Asamiya and Goddess Athena.

People don't like Shiki Nanaya?

Oh, well. Not everyone has a good taste, i guess. (sorry if that sounded a bit arrogant, but Nanaya is my favorite MB character honestly and as far as i know, a lot of people like him and call him a badass and i don't see a lot of people that dislike or hate him so, that makes me surprised, though not everyone loves everything and every character, i already know that)

kof2002: Yamazaki, Kusanagi and K' (they are my main in kof2002, when I was playing as them against my school mates in 2003 to 2004, they kept on criticized them as weak characters and I had no idea why. They often used Athena, Billy, Choi, those top to god tiers characters. When I checked it out in year 2015 about this tier list, then only I know about the reason).

Since animes are not really that popular in the West and mahou shoujos in particular, I have a huge soft spot for those Materials from Nanoha despite being the common "dark clone" trope. It´s hard to explain if you haven´t seen them.

Yeah, I like the materials too (especially Levi, she's my spirit animal).
I also like Baldanders from the Puyo Puyo franchise despite not being a popular and strong character. Man, I wish he was playable in more games in the franchise other than Fever 2, 15th Anniversary, and Puyo Puyo Quest.......

When i read Ciel, for a moment, i thought you were talking about Ciel from Tsukihime/Melty Blood since as far as i know, she doesn't have a lot of fans either.

I have never heard about her being unpopular. Unless we are talking about some broken MUGEN versions but then again there are quite many (broken or not), for example Drowin gave her Arcana Heart gameplay.
