Yeah, trolls are great. I remember the first time I saw a troll in games was Warcraft 2, and I thought they looked goofy then, but the more I looked the more I liked :). I think their lankiness and large tusk/fangs threw me off, but it grew on me, and eventually I really liked those traits. The cave trolls of LotR is an awesome and intimidating design; Simple, powerful, and without pity. I think my favorite troll design is the Skyrim version; they really did a good job making them seem like a natural part of the environment, and they look freaky and powerful.

Oh my, I've never seen that one before; a sabertooth dragon! That thing looks awesome! It has such a heavy, yet fluid, grace to it. The monster design of the MH series has always been top tier.
Also, I thought I recognised that Audry-ish creature from the past. I saw it in Joe and Mac for the SNES so long ago. I had forgotten all about that boss and that game until that image you brought up recalled it. I had such a good time playing that game. Thanks for sharing and sparking the memory :).

As for myself, I really like the Skaven of Warhammer lore.

And as for a specific creature that really caught my eye, the Abyss Watchers of Dark Souls (3?).

I don't knew the ones from Warcraft 2, they are somewhat similar to these ones
    https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Desert_Troll

I hated them in Oblivion, falling over me from nowhere when I was trying to shoot an arrow.

It's a handsome look for sure, I like it quite a bit. Wide-brimmed hat+Trench coat or Nobles Overcoat = instant gorgeous. I think Inquisitors and Witch-hunters in video games these days also use this style on occasion, which I'm always happy to see. The wide brimmed hat reminds me of another of my favorite creature archetypes: Plague Doctors

EDIT: Blasphemous' macabre, high-detail pixel work is absolutely gorgeous. I'm a huge sucker for pixel art in general, and that game has a beautiful and disturbing style. Macabre works in general tend to really interest me for some reason.

Yeah actually, from what I can make of it. This is their general design:
    https://external-preview.redd.it/zq_p6aGGmkXBxm8jMB8u9bRlDtW2cW-kFJ5yAAMZtng.jpg?auto=webp&cb551730
The actual sprite work from the Warcraft II is a bit too small to get a good idea of their form. The time I really understood their shape came mostly from my short stint in World of Warcraft. Never forgot those crazy tusks . . .

Ha! Yeah, trolls are the bane of archers and mages without a reliable fire spell. I really liked the Painted Trolls from Oblivion and the whole mission they were involved in. They even had a unique drop that you could bring back into the world with you, which for some reason still makes me giddy with whimsy even to this day.

EDIT2: Oops, many thanks Manuz for informing me, appears that server isn't fond of being linked to. Let's see if this one works. https://i.imgur.com/T8OvuMu.jpg

It's funny because that's also what I did, using this image.
Yes, the tusk are weird haha

They are, I always end missing my bow so they are always killing me.
Oh, yes, the painted trolls! They killed me like six times, but I like the plot about an elf entering the house to draw trolls and get killed by them inside the painting

Medusa is pretty great; tragic backstory with a whole heap of vengeance. I really like the more recent variations on her, that make her more relatable as she isn't depicted as a horrendous monster, but rather a woman who was made into a dangerous creature due to trauma.

Yeah, I like the Clannfear as well, they look like a Pachyrhinosaurus mixed with a standard Grey. I really liked the Spider Daedra Oblivion. I had a dream one time where I actually ended up in a romantic relationship with a Spider Woman mix similar to the Spider Daedra, and ever since I've had a fascination/crush on them.

Whoa, that is one creepy Boogeyman. Has a smile that conveys absolutely no joy or warmth, just the horrid excitement that comes from a predator that has trapped its prey. I never learned the difference between Hag and Witch, but I love them both. I always had a thing for Witches and loved the idea of them being able to contort the world in ways that was less elemental and more primal; they control both form and fate, which is super cool.

Aye, Baba Yaga is very cool; I like creatures of myth that display cannibalism, as it adds to the creepiness of them. She's otherwise she was the very symbol of what men feared and respected about women in power. Impossible to catch, wise in the ways of of the world and the magic beneath, deadly when slighted or disappointed, and she is an impeccable judge of character who will reward the good and punish the wicked. She's a really interesting, unique creature that has a lot of depth and commands a lot of respect.

Their cousins, wich actually have the record killing me in Oblivion
But it's difficult to find an ogre just how I imagine them.

Also the alits are still around!
    They look less ridiculous though

I never gave Ogres a thought as a kid, but later when I came across them in videogames I really liked how they were displayed. Warcraft first introduced me to the idea of an Ogre Mage, which seems like one of the most dangerous things a person can come across. Ogres are already naturally strong and resilient, but you could rely on them being somewhat easy to trick and avoid given their simple, ponderous nature. But, combine their might with a malicious and twisted understanding of sorcery, and a panoptic intelligence, and you have a true threat to the world that requires a heroic effort to defeat.

Yeah, Ogres are pretty awesome, they're threatening in a really fundamental and savage way. And they look like they like the taste of man-flesh.

Then you were not afraid of any adult, the ogre from Little Thumb was scary for me, and Blubeard was a nightmare.
Those ogre mages sound as a Baba Yaga's counterpart to me, or at least for generic hags, the wild ogres are something else, must be related to unexplored places or waymen.

Already mentioned trolls but everybody on Sauron's army counts
