I would love getting into the Souls series but the OG Demon's Souls left a really bad taste in my mouth. Nothing like dying and having to restart the entire level with half your health. That mechanic didn't bother me too much, to be honest. But the three minute loading screens in-between were absolutely dreadful for someone as impatient as me. The rolling mechanics and character creation in the original were god awful too, so I'm glad the remake nullifies a lot of my gripes with that one. Bloodborne is the main reason I want to give the Souls games another shot though, I adore the Lovecraftian vibe it has.

As of late, the only thing I've been playing is Mortal Kombat Project Revitalized. Added in some extra skins/playstyles for a few of my favorite kharacters, but also added in a bunch of guest kharacters from the Street Fighter The Movie The Game (Arcade Edition). I absolutely HATE when people mix two different visual styles on Mugen, so in my mind's eye SFTMTG Arcade exists solely for it's digitized sprites. And I gotta say, it's really freaking fun putting together dream matches between the two franchises. Guile vs. Johnny Cage, Sonya vs. Cammy, Kitana vs. Chun-Li, Liu Kang vs. Ryu. Sadly, I cannot find working versions of Balrog/Vega (Boxer/Claw) for MKP. Every file I find doesn't seem compatible for whatever reason.

Apart from Street Fighter, I added in four other MK-style guest characters: Deathstroke (MK vs DC), The Undertaker (krossed over with Johnny Cage in WWE Immortals), Alien/Xenomorph (MKX), and "Drunken Master" Jackie Chan (No relation to MK, but a very fun character nonetheless). I would absolutely love to write a script for this game and create a story mode for this project, however I for the life of me cannot remember what that Mugen single player mod was called or if it was even any good. Anyone here know what I'm talking about?

Nah, not with the first game. The first game was a mess. Janky gameplay/mechanics and horrible load times. I'd legit rather play Ghosts n Goblins than stare at three minute loading screens over and over. Super Ghouls n Ghosts, Castlevania, Zelda 2, DKC1, Mega Man, Demon's Crest; I'm no slouch when it comes to hard games. Once I'm able to play the remake, I'll gladly try to come back to it. But considering it's a game where you die often/learn from your mistakes and how often you are stuck looking at those loading screens... hard pass. That's just a buzzkill. The original version has not aged well at all.

Playing two games at the moment, Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge on Game Boy Advance is the first one. Very fun game this one! The second one is Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams on Switch, also a great one.

Only you're putting your own money on the line. investing most of my cash into nintendo cuz they're about to announce a new console, and all those zelda re-releases on switch, so their stocks are about to cliiiiimb. That's my bet anyway XD. Specifically I use the app robinhood, but there's other apps.

I started Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World yesterday, really fun so far! And I'm also playing Astérix & Obélix XXL on Game Boy Advance. Really impressive what they could do with that handheld, it's one of the very few (or maybe even the only one) 3D platformer on it.
