    Default Time Stop

    I want to give a character time stop (like DIO) for 5 seconds when he taunts, what is the code for that and where would I put it?

    - - - Updated - - -

    I also plan on having it cost 2 bars of power.

    I think this is what you want:

    [State 2000, ]
    type = SuperPause
    trigger1 = time = 0
    anim = -1
    poweradd = -2000
    movetime = X
    time = X
    darken = 0

    Where movetime = X and time = X is the amount of time you want the time freeze for (in ticks)

    Yes, if you set the statedef no. in CMD and -3.

    What do you mean by -3? In the CMD, all of it is -1. (it's tough to do this for the character i'm editing because his stuff is in japanese)

    If there is no -2 and -3, the author probably use -1 for state controllers that determine state transition rules based on user input.

    If you add SuperPause under any existing Statedef, AI will run the statedef with superpause without any issue. You might wanna edit the AI, if you want it to do specific movement during superpause.

    what if the time stop is a taunt? The taunt is in the cmd file, the ai just doesn't wanna use it.

    You can create triggerall for var(59) or var(30) (depending on your character variable mapping) and create changestate trigger for p2movetype.
    For further understanding, you may check the tutorial.

    or google for AI generator at mugen wikia. I think Netyzh have AI generator if you are interested to learn more about AI in mugen.

    I got the time stop to work but for some reason, even though it lowers the power bar you can still spam out even if you have no power.

    You forgot to add the necessary lines in the cmd file.
    add 'triggerall = power >= 2000' to the code with the move

    Now all that's left is for my character's AI to actually make use of it.

    I also gave it to another character edit of mine but when he uses it, he just stops time and stands there waiting until time resumes instead of actually taking advantage of it and attacking.
