Other than his difficulty as boss, i saw people dislike Goenitz as a character in general, not just his difficulty. So, maybe this is unpopular.
Goenitz is my favorite King of Fighters boss. Yes, i love Rugal, i love Orochi, Igniz, Krizalid, both of the Zeros, Magaki and i think they're all cool. (not a fan of Mukai so, i excluded him) However, no other KOF boss has that 'evil' feeling that Goenitz does. Okay, yes, Igniz has
killed his father
, that is scary, but Goenitz has always felt the most evil out of all of them for me to be honest. What did he do? Well, that's simple.
He activated The Riot of Blood in Leona, causing her to go insane (Orochi Leona) and kill her parents. She was possessed so, she wasn't conscious of killing her parents, but after she came back to normal, she was horrified as any normal child would be after seeing their parent(s) dead. That is evil, however, he is also the only boss who has actually defeated Kyo. That isn't evil, but that is why i respect him and i like him so much. Although to be fair, the reason why Kyo defeated Rugal was because Benimaru and Daimon lost so, it was his turn. Kyo was fighting Goenitz alone, one on one fight so, that is why he lost. He defeated him however after teaming with Iori and Chizuru. Did the same thing with Orochi. I forgot, but i think that K' is the winner of KOF '99, 2000 and 2001 tournaments, and Ash with his team is winner of 2003 and XI tournaments. I think though, my memory isn't that great.
