    Question What are the character archetypes you usually lean towards in fighting games?

    Personally, I like to go with shotos, because I'm really ****ing lame and newbie. If not shotos, I like the usual zoners. Glacius comes to mind.

    Ken-likes or zoning characters are my go-to characters.

    Definitely Hard-Zoners or Rushdown fighters ... probably because I only ever get people rage quitting with constant pokes & projectiles or by staying in the other player's face, bombarding them with combos. If I try playing grapplers or anyone trying to be a weird mix of zoning & rushdown, I just get steamrolled.

    Simple is best for me, except for Adon in Street Fighter. I love his personality and moveset.

    Above all else grapplers with heavy rush down and big hits.

    Set up characters are fun too but there's something less satifying about doing your damage in several dozen basic combos off of a trap or whatever when you're bad like me.

    I'm a total wild card. I main Random on a couple of games, especially Smash like games.
    In 3D games like Dead or Alive, whoever kicks. I used Hitomi a lot. Damn what a nostalgia game.
    2d stuff. Marvel vs Capcom 3, in order I destroy the most with Amaterasu, Dante, Iron Man, X-23, Spider-man, Felicia, Viewtiful Joe. I just listed that out so I can see the type of characters I used. They all seem pretty fast. Amaterasu is pretty simple. I still main random though.

    I usually go with faster characters when it comes to gameplay, though sometimes I'll pick a character just cause I dig the way he acts in the story.

    I like the heavy setplay characters, I don't mind their position on the tierlists unless I'm taking that game seriously
