I really like retro games and I'm always curious about some Hack Roms made from various games. Some are wonderful, others are bad, and there are some that can be considered bizarre.
Is that you? What do you think of Hack Roms?
There's some really cool (or at least fun) arcade hacks. Hard to take issue with getting more characters in a KOF game if it's not a total buggy mess. Being a buggy mess can be the problem with some of that stuff, though.
On the console side of things, some of those Sonic hacks are downright amazing. Most console ROM hacks are just kinda meh, though. Translations are nice. Dig Dug as Pikachu? Ehh...ok. And then it goes down hill.
In my country everyone has been aware of KOF 2002, A KOF Title i liked to play as a kid (Pure nostalgia).
There are hack rom versions of it such as the Magic Plus 2 one.

It's amazing how people can reshape old games into whole new games. My favorite examples are SM64:Last Impact and 100 Rooms of Enemies.
You thought this would be a signature, but it was I, Dio!
I have a lot of romhacks. Too many to count!![]()
Some are necessary (like bugfixes), others are cool (like the ones who change the game to make it like a new game in the franchise) and others are... I don't know honestly, sometimes I like joke romhacks, but most of the old ones where just edgy kids doing racist and/or sexist jokes on mario games and such.
Overall, I like them (well, not the racist ones lol).
i think rom hacks are super cool and can extend a games playtime infinitely
i would highly recommend pokemon Clover btw
I like them a lot, my favorite being the FFT 1.3 romhack. But aside from the ones that change the game, I really like the ones that translate games that weren't released in my region so that I could potentially play them (Front Mission 5 for example). So long as the original isn't lost, I think there's definitely a welcome place for romhacks.
I love hackroms... Generally those that offer new mechanics and create a new experience for the player.
There is a youtube user who is dedicated to making hackroms of Mario 64.
Hack Rom:
I love them because all of their hackroms have something new to offer.
I used to play his hackroms a lot before I met MUGEN... Although I honestly never managed to finish one...
"It's fine, It's fine, It's fine, It's fine"
Don't say it's fine!
I like the idea of romhacking, and I like what people can do to make the games better and/or make them challenging (usually). The only romrack I’ve played as of this comment, is SM64: Chaos Edition, I challenged myself to beat the first bowser fight. It’s possible, but you’re at the mercy of RNG.
Meh, what’s the deal. I don’t really double check my sentences before posting.
I think they give a new feeling to the game. I’ve watched countless YouTube videos of people playing Kaizo Mario World. That's a real challenge. I may try it someday to see how far i can go.
Pokemon hacks is interesting![]()
I wish someone would make some hack SF characters for Mugen.
Remember that Balrog who shot fireballs as he charged in SF blackbelt edition.
