Dragon Age : Origins (so much feels after I completed the game) I recommend any RPG fans to give this a go, dont even play the second or third installment.

Highly recommended for peeps who are into High Fantasy like Lord of The Rings.
Great interesting characters with their own back story as well as making interesting choices affect the story. Too bad Bioware/EA killed most of their franchises.

RPGs have been blurred a bit. If you mean classic rpgs, haven't played one on the PC, but if you mean what passes for RPGs nowadays, Mass Effect was particularly enjoyable as well as Dragon Age. Skyrim and Fallout could even be called rpgs and I did enjoy them a great deal as well.

I'd rather not say my actual favorite but I really loved One Way Heriocs which I got for cents on steam sale, spent over 100 hours on it, and I remember a flash game called Mardek being really good, about as good as a good snes kind of game, sadly the creator didn't want to continue the series.

Sorry if this is necroposting, but I need to say Tales of Maj'Eyal. Hardest-to-learn game you ever had to deal with, and not much story, but you can be anything in that game, especially if you choose to make your own class. The classes aren't just typical thief-warrior-mage stuff, but some really cool ideas like temporal wardens, mindslayers or the Cursed. My last character was a chronomancer who dual-wielded steamguns and swords. Next time I'll do a solipsist-mage.

Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty great if you can adapt to them.

Fallout New Vegas is glitchy but quite honestly my favorite game of all time. If you play it for the story you'll be satisfied.

Theres also 3 and 4.... but those are Bethesda Fallout and don't have quite the same charm...

Old ones by Blizzard, like Diablo 1 and 2.
Fallout series all the way up until 4 (Because i didn't play that one yet)
The Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim.
An obscure one known as "Shadowflare".
Does Yume Nikki and it's clones count? If so, Yume Nikki.

Undertale and Skyrim were awesome. I like Skyrim mostly because of the mods that help to keep the game alive. And Undertale is a game that just knows how to make you feel GOOD. yes

The best rpg for pc has not been made yet because they always overlook something but the one i liked most recently...kinda old now...is Dragon Age Inquisition. It's a game that has its own shiny style. You can make your own character, pick race, face, and type of fighter. It has an interesting plot device where you the hero is only able to solve the lands demon dimensional rift problem. You start off as a nobody but become greater than yourself. Not only that you have a great story where it isn't 1 adventure but a series of adventures that progresses into one whole grand story. Every possible medieval twist and turn is in this, the alley who betrays you, the evil sorcerer who wants to destroy the world, your great defeat, and then your great comeback and victory while developing character throughout the process and becoming legendary. You'll spend hours Expanding your empire and refining your fighter throughout the whole rewarding process while keeping it addictively interesting for hours. You can recruit fighters to fight alongside you who will actively interact with you or choose to do it alone to prove your might.

Eventually you become a king and it comes with all the perks such as leading an army invasion, attending social appearances, judging key quest characters to decide their fate, and collecting loot that lets you customize or alter your kingdom. It's a game that constantly serves you all the way and with mods, forget about it, it's even better! Change weaknesses into strengths and add in even more. You can kill army bands, creatures, juggernauts, giants, and Dragons, as well as your unique Boss fight. Weapons and armor, although limited, are gorgeous and customization and varying in power. The diverse fighting mechanics are breath taking as depending on what various skills you choose, will determine how you will uniquely vanquish your foes from either a long distance or right in your face AND even a combination of the two! It has many great musical moments, storyline cutscenes with optional dialogue and decision choices. Lastly, everything you do matters, there's not one thing that is for nothing, even if there is something repetitive like in all games, it's doing something for you. it's regions are incredibly large and beautiful, diverse and filled with activity every 10 steps in any direction.

There are also many many many more smaller things that you can enjoy also that are too many to list.
