Street Fighter II in NES
Memories![]()
I'll do my best....To become the best
I first got into fighting games by playing Street Fighter 3 Alpha on a gameboy emulator, I didn't know how to play though
My first fighting game was Street Fighter 2 followed by Mortal Kombat 3 ultimate, i was never into fighting games it all happened when my friend wanted to play a vs game with me so he told me about SF it was on 1997 i guess hehe![]()

My first introduction to fighting games came to me around 8 years ago. To this day, I take an out of state trip to Nevada every year, and I stay at a hotel called Harrahs for around 5 days. I liked going to the arcade, mostly because of Skee Ball and all that, but then I noticed my father was standing at this much older and more foreign looking machine. I found out shortly after that it was Street Fighter Alpha 2. When I saw him play, it was almost magical. Turns out he was incredibly good at the game. He was busting out custom combos and alpha counters and a ton of super moves and combos. It was almost like watching a Bruce Lee movie to me. He was playing Sagat then, and after mercilessly beating the crap out of Ryu to beat the game, he let me try. I picked Sagat because he looked so cool and awesome. He was just a big strong guy with a huge scar and an eyepatch, like some sort of karate pirate. I was able to win my first few matches by just mashing hard punch and hard kick because Sagat was kind of god tier until Street Fighter 4. Obviously back then I couldn’t do things like the Tiger Shot or Tiger Uppercut. Heck, I didn’t even know how to block. He taught me how to play the game shortly after I got destroyed by M.Bison in the middle of the arcade run. After that, I just got into a lot of fighting games. I picked up Smash Bros. Brawl, and after that I just went wild, and here I am now. To this day the arcade machine still stands at the hotel arcade, and I play it any chance I can, getting top score after top score. Now my new high score stands at 1,874,970 as Sagat. I hope 7 year old me is proud now.
When I was little, my step-dad owned a Mortal Kombat 4 arcade machine. I played it all day and my mom got mad at me for playing such a violent game. I thought it was cool and different and I was hooked ever since.
I started with Smash. However, ULiL on PS4 was the first tradition fighting game I tried. I love Touhou and I had a PS4, so I imported a copy of ULiL and tried it.
I got into fighting games thanks to smash and street fighter my first fighting game was smash or was it street fighting idr fully but I do know that I have been into fighting games ever since playing games like ha this one fan games that are in a fighting game style I wouldn't say fighting games are the only thing I play no I mostly play platformers but fighting games are like a side hobby
I'd say my first fighting game would be Smash 3DS.
Ever since then, I have been getting more into fighting games like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Skullgirls, Marvel Vs. Capcom etc.
My first fighting game was King Of Fighters 11. I was playing it with my cousin on PS2.That got me onto fighting games.
Not sure what was my first fighting game, maybe some SF or MK game, generic answer, i know.
Slightly interested in the genre, out of boredom, i found some King of Fighters games on internet and downloaded some emulator and started playing KOF games and that's how i got into fighting games, KOF helped me come back to the genre, and i tried some new ones such as GG and MB. I don't play games that much, (but i love them definitely) though for some reason, fighting games are my favorite. Maybe because of simplicity, i guess.
Power and money don't corrupt, they just reveal who the person really is.
I got into it by watching my father and uncle play SF II on the Wii, and being in awe watching them duke it out. Street Fighter Alpha 3 was my first game, on the Gameboy Advance.
Well I like Arcades & occasional competition(I make no claims of being a pro).
I can go to most older fighters(& also Smash Bros.) & either aim for high scores or square up against other players(preferably offline, I've been burned quite a few times by what I call "Brazilian Ken Lag")
The first fighter that I've played was SF3:New Generation when I was little, perhaps too little since I could barely reach the buttons & joystick.
Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition on the Sega Genesis. I didn't even know how to do a Hadoken at the time.
My cousin who was into alot of anime games so when i would visit he would play fighters and the first one was capcom v marvel and zach bell
XD, mi primer juego de lucha fue Dragon Ball
The earliest memory if a fighting game that I have is playing Mortal Kombat Armageddon so I guess mortal kombat got me into fighting games
first fighting game was some crappy chinese rip off KOF. why? i mean, have u seen mai shiranui?
Street Fighter Alpha 2 was my first fighter. I remember spending alot of money in the arcade that was close to my home
Street Fighters on the arcade were fun as hell, I played them practically every weekend when I was 9, becoming better and better, so good that nobody wanted to play with me lol
but wanna hear something funny about it ?
one day, some guy in his late 20s with his 6-year old cousin came into the arcade, said he wanted to fight me, I thought I could just beat the hell out of him, but I was dead wrong, this guy has been playing all sorts of fighting game since he was a kid, he knew every counter-attack, he just times them perfectly every time, I stood no chance against him
my shirt was soaked in sweat, meanwhile, he didn't break a sweat, and to make matters worse, people were watching, I couldn't help but feel a bit humiliated, and to top it off, he gave tips to people, and now I couldn't utterly destroy them at SF like I did before, but I still beat challengers and occasionally lose.
you know what, maybe I should go back to that arcade instead of playing KoF on my PS4, see if he's still there so I could do a little payback now that im a seasoned player.
