I've never actually finished a Zelda game but I did enjoy my time with Wind Waker.
I've never actually finished a Zelda game but I did enjoy my time with Wind Waker.
I like all Zelda games, period. I have literally played all and beat every single zelda games since it was released........ Well ok maybe not "Navi Trackers" mode in Legend of Zelda 4 Swords Adventure since my brothers and I don't understand japanese![]()
Definatly Majora's Mask, close second is Wind Waker.
Wind Waker!! Its probably due to the fact that it was the first zelda game i played, but mainly because of the cartoony artstyle and how expressive most of the characters are.
overall a silly game
Ocarina of Time was amazing!
Link Between Worlds is my favorite. so underrated
Majora's Mask by far.
I've finished every official, non-meme Zelda game currently out there, and my new personal favorite among them is the Link's Awakening remake for Nintendo Switch.
Twilight Princess
Ocarina of Time
I really think that Twilight Princess, for me, is the best Zelda game. Why? I easily think that it combines the magic and essence of both Ocarina and Majora's. One of the titles that I liked the most when I was a kid.
I will shill Breath of the Wild until the end of time. Yes, it has flaws. Eventually you will run out of quests and secrets to do/find. But my first playthrough unlocked something in me. And even now, just pulling out the Switch and pissing around for like, a half hour, is still pretty fun.
It used to be Ocarina of Time for me, but now I'm really doubting between that one and Breath of the Wild. Both are just amazing games!
A Link to the Past
While the original game introduced us to the open-world mechanics/general gameplay and the second game introduced us to villages/NPCs, I would have to give my vote to the third entry in the franchise. It was a return to the formula that made Zelda 1 so good and it improved upon the gameplay in pretty much every single aspect. The twist/gimmick of the game was mindblowing as a child and it's still a really neat feature today. The feature was so good, that you could say Ocarina of Time is pretty much a 3D reimagining of A Link to the Past in a lot of ways, except. The fact the ocarina was chosen as the main item for the 64 title was based off of it being the least useful item in A Link to the Past. The dungeons are plentiful, the collectibles are numerous, the gameplay is fun, the challenge to fun ratio is perfect, and the soundtrack is one of the best of all time. All of that can be said about OoT as well, but visually I feel like the art direction of ALTTP has aged much better overall. It's a really vibrant game and the world feels alive, the character designs are unique and memorable, the bosses are epic, and Link easily has his most unique look ever, sporting pink hair. Why? Who knows. But it's just one more element that makes this game stick out compared to the rest.
I feel like the first game in the series had a few flaws in it's game design, the second game is... well, the second game, but Triforce of the Gods (As ALTTP is known in Japan) is the game that perfected the Zelda formula first in my opinion, and the series still relies heavily on the innovations made in this game and strives to live up to the standards set by this title.

For me, it's OoT, then MM, then WW, then TP.
Everything else is good except (personally) I really dislike BoTW. As a life long Zelda Fan, and Link being one of if not my favorite video game characters ever, BoTW for me just never has, and never will feel like Zelda to me. I can understand people that like it, my girlfriend loves it, even though she has never played any other Zelda game in her life. Me, I've played them all, it's no exaggeration to say the series three highest moments were OoT, MM, and WW. All three equally damn good in their own rights.
I am excited for BoTW 2 though, only because it looks like MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, they return to form a little, and reintroduce and innovate upon the traditions of the series that was left out in BoTW1
Ocarina of Time (N64)
I loved Twilight Princess.
Played it all the way to completion, even doing the whole side quest to acquire the Magic Armor and even getting the Great Fairy Tears.
And you know what, I'd do it again.
Majoras Mask is definitely the zelda game that stuck with me, i was haunted as a child and pleasantly surprised by it later as a teen/adult. then the 3d remaster came out on 3ds, reinvigorated my love for the game even if it wasnt nearly as creepy with higher resolution textures
"Ocarina of Time" definitely. It has good gameplay and good music, albeit it is
rather difficult. I watched a full playthrough it on YouTube. LOL; I actually CRIED
at the part when Zelda had to send Link back to his own time because her saying
goodbye to him was so sad! I'm sorry, everyone; I'm just a really emotional person
LOL
Oh yeah also the N64 version of Ocarina of Time is my favorite version.
I think my favorite Zelda game is Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. Although I haven't really played any of the others.
