    Default How to change char attack layout

    I have JoJo characters made to play like in ASB, but the key layout is really weird since i'm used to playing with chars from Heritage Of The Future, so i want to change it. How could i do that?

    That's vague and unhelpful.

    In the .cmd file for each character, look for a [Remap] section. If it's not there, add this to the top of the .cmd:

    Code:
    [Remap]
    x = x
    y = y
    z = z
    a = a
    b = b
    c = c
    s = s
    From there, modify the values to suit your preference.

    That's correct @Waggysaggy
    I always prefer to don't post nothing instead of posting things like that.

    Well, if that user had a different name that "Your Mom"... I would have been more than helpful that I was. I don't like that username, he/she could have chosen less offensive usernames than that and I'm suprised you're willing to help him/her despite of that. Appearently you take no offense by helping someone claiming to be "Your Mom". That clearly shows that users isn't taking things seriously (or maybe I'm taking things too seriously, who knows?)

    Also "check the CMD" is already helpful: this way that user can check the CMD and look for the things he/she was looking by his/her own will, maybe discovering new things, getting more interested in character's functioning. If you're going to help too much a person, that person will always look for your help. But if you give that person just a hint, that person will eventually find the answer on his/her own (and eventually finding more fun that obeying to a specific guide, by experimenting with the code). So you're making users dependable on you or you want to set them free? It's your choice. After all, that user isn't asking for a Remap as he/she doesn't seem to explain what he/she means for "weird layout", so "checking the CMD" was the best answer imho, because it wasn't clearly stated which command was about to be edited. It could have been a Remap, but what if he/she doesn't even know which keys are x,y,z, etc.. what if he/she was asking for a different command for a certain number of moves? "Layout" is a generic and vague word: it can mean a Remap or a kind of moveset (QCF instead of QCB, a+b instead of c and so on... anything about the commands can be part of a "layout"). So what kind of answers did you expect?

    Vague questions deserve vague answers, pretty simple. But we can keep this drama on, if you think that's "helpful".

    Also your help was pretty vague too, as you didn't mention how to make the "layout" work as it works for Heritage Of The Future chars (that's the only comprehensible thing of the request). You could have, at least, provided the "layout" of Heritage of the Future to use as replacement, instead of telling him/her to make it suit his/her preference. ;)

    Ouch, must've hit a nerve.

    His request seemed pretty obvious to me, stating that he wanted the button layout of the ASB characters to match that of the HotF characters, which is something that's easily achieved by remapping the button layout. If you're up for bickering over something so trivial, then take it to PMs; the last thing someone asking for help needs is a user getting all uptight over another user disregarding their "assistance" by calling it unhelpful.
