Hardest Game You've Played?

The hardes game i have ever played was (i believe) the first Rayman for Playstation 1. The god damn Music level (or better the whole world) killed so many controllers. >.<

Looking back i really ask myself how in hell 10 years old or younger children are supposed to finish that game.I really loved Spyro and Crash but Rayman was a bi**h.

I played this Rayman but I didn't find it that difficult, so much so that I managed to clear the game with 100%.

Well, but the hardest game I ever played was the classic Ghost 'n Goblins. Anything that touched the Arthur he lost his armor or died, had a time I almost broke my PlayStation of rage after dying endless times.

The original Ghost 'n Goblins is definitely a game for hardcore gamers, in those years , the average difficulty level of arcade games (and not) was certainly much higher than today's games.

As i've commented in other thread, it was Battletoads from the NES, very very hard.
If you want an extreme challenge go for this one.

Another one that i have played but never finished because it's just balls *** impossible is Silver Surfer on the NES. That game is unfair on so many levels. i never finished it because screw that.

Mega Man 8, Maximo Ghosts to Glory, Crash Bandicoot, Vexx (Levels are so hard and no check point you have to start from the beginning every time if you die or fall from the platform to the abyss which is of course happen a lot) and Galerians

I'd say Dark Souls, especially a Castlevania Run using nothing but the whip and 1 miracle of your choice. Love both series though.

combatribes for super nintendo, is very difficult, almost a perfect arcade perfect conversion, an extremely brutal game with invincible bosses, I came with only one credit a long way ahead though

the second game was alien soldier for sega mega drive, was to long and to fast, at a certain point I could not take it anymore and I was giving up

Super Mario Forever (SMB1 Hack, NES)

I think some of you know it, it's just almost impossible from the very beginning, extremely complex actions which require a lot of concentration, even using save/load states is difficult as some actions must be done in sequence. Even more difficult than the first Crash Bandicoot. I wish this game was never made. If you're a rage-quitter, don't play it... lol
