    Question [Help] Shaft (Castlevania) character error?

    I'm really unsure where to post this, but I really want to use the character, but I am new to Mugen, so I can't do this by myself yet (wanted to try making my own simple characters soon).

    so something is wrong with this part:
    [state -2]
    type = DisplayToClipboard
    trigger1 = 1
    text="p2bodydist X:%lf,p2bodydist Y:%lf,VAR7:%d,VAR8:%d"
    params=p2bodydist X,p2bodydist Y,Var(17),Var(16)

    I wonder if anyone sees what's wrong with it (hope it's an easy fix).

    This is a compatibility issue, "%d" is a winmugen feature which has been deprecated in MUGEN 1.0
    This is easy to fix fortunately.

    1. Open DEBUG.cns in notepad
    2. Search
    Code:
    [state -2]
    3. Replace with
    Code:
    ;[state -2]
    4. Save your changes.

    It should work now, and it shouldn't remove any of the gameplay features since this state is meant for debugging.

    By the way can someone move this to the development help forum?

    ohohh i thought "Development help" was only for when i make my own mods, guess i know now

    Replace all "type = DisplayToClipboard" with "type = null ;DisplayToClipboard"
    The same goes to AppendToCplipboard or any other.
    There's a tool into Fighter Factory that replace everything with a single click.

    so from what i understand (since i been looking into it a bit too) is
    the file part is for the attacks, and what we do is delete the attacks which are not used by the other file?

    so the error means pretty much "cannot find attack no.####" ?

    Nope, you only need to get rid of the statedefs with type = DisplayToClipboard, don't change anything else.
