Hello everyone! I haven't posted anything on here for maybe about three years (more or less) but I have just recently gotten back into Mugen and I'm working on creating palettes and sprite and icon fixes and replacements. I'm currently editing this character who is actually a boss in their universe and it's Mugen counterpart can defiantly back this up.
In the default version of Mugen after a fighter was won the round, the game will give them an icon next to the timer to show what finished off their opponent. An example would be an H for finishing off your opponent with a Hyper, a V for defeating your opponent with an basic attack or cheese when finishing off an opponent while they are blocking. Some characters considered as a boss will give a skull icon after being defeated regardless of how they are beaten.
This character I'm editing gives the normal icons but I would like them to give the opponent the skull icon since it would be very satisfying after beating this character. It's AI isn't considered cheap in my opinion but it can be extremely unforgiving if you make a mistake. I admit it can be incredibly spammy and one hyper (or super) can cripple their opponent however their life is where they fall. If you get the first hit and can pull off some long combos, you can beat this character. I have beaten this them multiple times in singles but I had to retry a few times before I could beat them.
I have search Google, YouTube and here but I'm unable to find out exactly what I need to do. I even dissected Dark Ruler's T-Rex (The old version) to see if I can find anything that suck out. I have zero experience with coding, which is mainly why I focus on improving a characters visuals. If anyone can post a guide, a video or a step by step process on what I need to do, I would be very grateful
I use Mugen 1.0 and Fighter Factory 3
I'm sorry if this is has been already been answered or it's so obivous. I only post a thread if I'm really stumped and I have reached a dead end on this one.
Thank you to anyone that can help![]()
