I clean my mouse and my keyboard on a weekly to bi-weekly rate. I feel it's important for the longevity of your hardware to keep it clean, as well as preventing potential disgust by people who visit you.

actually my palms are sweaty so my mouse and keyboard is stiky and dirty, and fyi my keyboard is white so it really doesnt look good

I clean my keyboard and mouse everyday but not thoroughly. I just do a general wipe over it. Thorough cleaning would be in a couple of months, I guess.
