I consider every opponent from MK2 back when i played it on my genesis as a boss, since it was just luck if i even got past the first one lol

I guess im just bad at fighting games, but i still enjoy them a lot.

Mushihimesama Ultra Mode. I barely got to Stage 5 on iOS.
Puyo Puyo Fever HaraHara Course. Ms. Accord and Popoi seem to be hard to beat unless I survive in fever mode with 10+ chains.

In Guilty Gear X2's story mode for Potemkin, you had to fight Boss Dizzy who has a few instant kill attacks. For one ending you have to beat her in under 30 seconds (easier with instant kill), and for the other you have to kill her after 30 seconds. And surviving that hard was a think I struggled with hard.

damn, that game is totally bipolar... normal opponent's are pretty dumb, bosses and sub-bosses (orochi iori, violent ken) are hyper mad.

and it's not the first time SNK did this. Seems only KOF2002 and 97 are fair enough to provide a balanced gameplay, most of SNK games are difficult as hell.

I know SNK made them this way so the player put another coin in the machine and choose the 1/3 opponent's life bonus. Cheeeeaaaap

for me it was W.D. Gaster from undertale. he was litteraly impossible to kill. i was so pissed i couldnt see the end credits becuase he was the final boss like ugggh

Same as you, i could almost never defeat I-No in AC+R, except in Reload because you could Instant Kill her in that game.
Original Zero was pretty annoying in KOF 2001 too with his strikers and Igniz was kind of a nightmare too. Rugal was the hardest in his 2002UM form. Since i got a new computer, i can't remember games too much, but i also know that Magaki kind of gave me trouble.
And also as a Tohno and Ryougi player, Dust of Osiris was a sc*mbag in MBAA.

Azazel - Tekken 6 he has incredible durability. If you attack him while he is standing, then your hits will do very little damage. You have to get him off his feet and juggle him while he is in the air to do any significant damage. Due to his sheer size, he has the highest reach in the game. Not only can he strike you with his long limbs and tail, but he likes to spam a ground-based projectile attack, where crystals burst up from the floor.

Seth - Street Fighter IV It seems that he was intentionally designed to be as frustrating as possible. He has all the strengths and none of the weaknesses. Even the most skilled players would have trouble against him on the hardest difficulty, as his character has overwhelming advantages over the rest of the cast.

Onslaught - Marvel Vs Capcom in his second form, he keeps flying around whilst filling the screen with projectile attacks. You only have a short period of time in which to defeat Onslaught, as the chip damage alone will kill you swiftly. You have to make every hit count if you are to succeed.

Marie from Skullgirls (Nightmare Difficulty), she had completely destroyed me on multiple occasions.
