How do I remove Palette Selector on characters?

Hello, I'm pretty new here and want to learn more about coding characters, but I would like to know how I could disable Palette Selector. I like the idea of it but I think I rather have it remove to use button inputs for colors, so any advice or step by step progress would be really appreciated, thanks!

it will depend on which palette selector the char uses.
X costume for example can be removed by deleting the related states.
You would need to download a copy of X-Costume (it should be on this forum somewhere) and deleting all the states from the relevant files that are listed in the installation options .doc file
