I hate it how people try to control other people's feelings and try to tell them that they shouldn't feel something. And i also hate it when people compare someone's problems to someone else's.
Jim Morrison once said:
“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”
Not every situation is happy and not every situation is sad either, there are moments when you feel extremely happy and moments when you just get tired of life. And that reminds me, everyone should be allowed to feel tired. If you tell people they can't feel tired just because of their age, that will tire them more. And don't compare situations, don't say someone has it worse, either feel someone's pain or don't say anything at all, i know that not everyone feels the same pain, but that's why we should have empathy and let people feel what they feel.
Everyone should be allowed to feel. If we didn't have feelings, life would be bland and depressing. We just want to let our feelings out, not to keep them in. Letting feelings out is like throwing a rock: It feels hard at first, but when you do it, you feel so much better.
That reminds me... We have our happy moments, but no one says that someone has it better when we feel happy? Don't you think that's strange? When we feel bad, someone suddenly says "SOMEONE HAS IT WORSE, WHAT ABOUT THIS AND THAT PERSON" instead of listening to their problems. That reminds me of some quote or something:
Let's say for example...
Billy: Mommy! I got an A+!
Mom: Billy! Don't you know someone has got it better? Someone else is a millionaire!
Man: I feel anxious, i feel so tired and so sad.
Someone: Someone has got it worse! There are starving kids in Africa!
See? Doesn't this sound like an unpleasant or silly conversation?
