i had that same misconception before I went to college for that. You don't want to be a game designer. You want to be a producer. Game designers are like directors, answering to their producers, which dictate what's being made. The lead game designer's role more or less executes the producer's vision by leading the various teams to make the game. I didn't find that out until much later, after I had already acquired loans in school.
Probably a pipedream, but my dream job would be a game developer, whether that be part of a company, or even by myself as an indie developer. I want to create and share the things I love so much.
Rest division, lying at home all day long, doing nothing![]()
either a showrunner for a story-based cartoon, or a game dev for my own projects
I want to be a government employee.
When I'm old, it's good to get a pension.
I'd be totally chill with a nice job as an IT tech in a school or office! I love messing around with tech and first line IT support tends to be that kind of thing when you're not fixing people's problems.
Criminal investigation and forensic science. Almost did get that job except I wasn't a citizen.
Be a game-designer, and I want to make a game for myself.
Game developer, music|comic/mangaka artist, forensic scientist or artificial intelligence developer.
My dream job is to have no job
