Capcom vs. SNK 2 definitely comes to mind, as I have really fond memories of staying up late and just messing around with all the different possibilities and fighters. My favorite to play competitively is probably Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, as it really puts your reaction speed to the test, and requires your game sense to be on-point to avoid being taken across the stage with one combo.
Tekken series... Started playing it on game center and continue on PC emulator until it's no longer supported... kind of missed it but don't want to spend money for the console as I'm a PC gamer... :gamer_gpcmr:
Tekken is a pretty awesome series
Street Fighter II was always fun for me, though I suspect that is mostly nostalgia talking. Guilty Gear was fun, but I could never get crazy good at it. I loved most, if not all, of the Soul Calibur series. Also, Bloody Roar 2 and 3 were good to me. Ninja mole for the win.
Nostalgia talking? No...only good taste.
MKII Arcade version, Street Fighter II Champion edition Arcade version, Killer Instinc Arcade version and MKIII Ultimate arcade version (All in M.A.M.E.).

Blazblue series and Guilty Gear series
Super Street Fighter II Turbo & Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, specifically the Juggernaut Hack.
I know that's old school, but hey if a game is good it's timeless IMO.
i'd say Tekken becuz it was my first fighting game i ever played way back :)
I have a lot of favorite fighting games, but if I had to choose one, it would be Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
JoJo: Heritage For The Future. As a person who loves jojo it's just a treat to play.
Bloody Roar 2. That's beating out Ultimax: Persona Arena, Capcom vs SNK 2, and KOF XI by a narrow margin on my top 10 fighters.
Smash 4 and Jojo on psx
my favorites are:
-Soulcalibur 3:i think is the game on the series with have the most content, atleast for me, and the character creation was a nice touch, but it is limited compared to the later soulcaliburs(look of the characters obviously)(sadly the original character moveset is gone for later games).
--Soulcalibur 5: the character creation mode just sell the game itself. it's pretty well done, but ill admit, i miss the old roster.(the new roster for me it's like the old roster, but with somehow "new" faces)
--tekken(3,5,6): i found them prety entertaining if you want to spend the free time on videogames.
Street Fighter 3 or Guilty Gear Xrd
Why must I pick just one:depressed::depressed::depressed:
let me think.....Maybe Soul calibur because I really love Taki and most of the female fighters
got another one to the list. which i really like. its easy to learn yet difficult to master. i find it really original compared to other fighting games.
Lethal League Blaze. i HIGHLY. recommend it.

For Honor very fun medieval combat system and the camera angle just adds to it. here is a short gif(you may need to click on it)

that actually looks insanely fun. are they fighting using the baseball thing??
Mortal Kombat y Marvel vs capcom
yup, the objective of the game is basically "kill" your opponent 5 times until you win. the speed of the ball goes progresively faster and sooner or later it will reach the point of one shot, so its mostly knowing the ball angles and positioning to survive. and its fun, competitively and casually. as i stated before. is one of those games that is easy to learn hard to master
Definitely Soul Calibur II. I've never been too crazy about games with insane combos, and SCII is perfect in that case, since it's a lot more focused on neutral. I could also be biased because I grew up with it, haha.
SSF2,MUGEN,NUNS4,ETC they all have several mods to play with and its very fun even without mods
Samurai Shodown V is really good.
There are quite a few, but DBFZ and NSUNS4 are some of my favourites.
honestly either the smash bros series or dragonball fighterz.
Mortal Kombat x and 11
