I mostly like Mortal kombat characters because I'm a big fan of the series. In terms of gameplay almost any anime character because they're always fun to play as. Literally as I was writing this I became a new challenger so yeah
I'm always a lurker when it comes to any game community. Rpgs, Minecraft (servers), Diablo, etc. More interested in the game than the community most of the time, is that a bad thing?
Lots of great characters to pick from. Lyn is an absolute treat to watch, Thor is great to play and watch, I really like Venom as well.
I've started trying MUGEN this week. I'm trying to make a standard-crafted compilation game.
My favorite MUGEN-exclusive is the KOFA version of Mizoguchi from Fighter's History. REALLY well-made character.

So did anyone figured away for us noobies to be able to download mugen chars :(, I don't want to upload anything because I will only **** people off, can't make my own chars or edits since I got no skills in it, how could a person increase his rep to be able to download again?

But could you tell me approximately how long it might take until I am capable of downloading again?

I don't have a specific character favorite but I have my series favorite which is Metal Slug.
Oh and by the way if anyone has a "configured" 1280x720 config for the MS3/MS5 HealthBar or what it's called please give me one, I have a really hard time configuring 640x480 but now I wanna play 1280x720 which is soooo much harder to config

I've been really liking a lot of the Megaman X designs, but I feel like the scaled down sprites have some very narrow use across different builds.
The DBZ characters have been really good overall, though.
My favorite Mugen character is obviously Mario (the old famous one by ShinRyoga), despite some inaccuracies with the character, though there's a new contender for favorite and it's the 3D Smash 4 Mario, and I like to try out other Marios, though the section is swamped with kajillions of edits with those ShinRyoga Marios, which is pretty discouraging. Peter Griffin, at least him as a punching bag, is great.
My favorite MUGEN character is probably Amber by Otto, or Yukino KOFA by Zelgadis. I also like KOFA style Kula edits and P.O.T.S. style characters.
I'd say 'D4meirin' by furikake, despite me not knowing all that much about Touhou to begin with. That and it's pretty damn good adaptation of the character into a more 'traditional' fighting game style. Second place has to go to 'Skullomania' by SeanAltly in terms of how faithful it is to his original Street Fighter EX counterpart. But even those two are beat out by a slight margin by 'Dee Bee Kaw' by The_None. After seeing that character, it goes to show just how much this game's engine can do weather if it's to make a serious character or even just making stuff as you go for a joke, or in the rare case of it feeling like both just like DBK. But yeah, those are the characters I seem to enjoy the most.
Well I don't really have a favorite character since all of them are pretty much badass. well except for that freedom fighters sonic I have. it sucks. BIG TIME. Half the attacks he does hurts as much as a papercut and his super specials (idk the name) are pretty much regular specials but with a picture of the character showing up at the side and to make it look spazzy. The worst thing being that he's slow. HOW CAN YOU **** UP A CHARACTER THAT WAS MEANT TO BE FAST AND MAKE HIM SLOW ALL OF A SUDDEN? Like, Mario is faster than that for ****s sake. SERIOUSLY, I fought him once. about as difficult as kung fu man.
Gonna start mugen for my first time as soon as i can download some things, im really excited to mess around with some dumb s-tir characters.
i like the umvc3 phoenix wright character, anticipating the 'even-more umvc3' edit coming soon.

My favorite SFW character from mugen would be probably Reimu or Remilia Scarlet from Touhou Series. They have colorful projectiles, and they're female.
