What are the games that to some extent you are ashamed to play/love?
Hey people, I would like to read if you have similar experiences like me. As of me, my guilty pleasure are the Princess Maker games. I really enjoyed coming across Princess Maker 2, it is a MASTERPIECE!!! I loved it so much that I needed more so I played PM5 and PM3. I liked so much that even I encourage my older sister to play it. At first she mocked me for playing "a little girls game" (oh lord, I don't even know which is the target audience of this game), but after one run of the game she really got into it. I don't think I have enough confidence to tell my friends I'm a fan of this game.:grin::grin:

Oneechanbara, specially the PS2 version
Good BG music
Swarm of zombies
A lot of gore and gratuitous violence.
And beautiful girls with few clothes
Lot of unlockable content
My kind of game
The PS2 bosses were really challenging, the last 2 bosses requires ninja gamer skills to read and react the patterns.
This game also implement a tag system that let you change characters in the middle of battle, giving more replay value as you keep unlocking characters.

Yo, that looks DOPE! It reminds me of house of the dead but in third person and with swords!

Dead or Alive 5. I played it a lot because I like 3d fighting games (I don’t enjoy Tekken), but the game is widely known for the tons of DLCs it has of the female characters wearing bikinis, swimming suits, etc.

It is a good fighting game though.

It really is, I played it a lot. Having bikinis as Dlc costumes is not a problem but the developers try really hard to get money by doing so. Some girls have like 11 dlc costumes, 8 being bikinis which makes it somewhat embarrassing.
I might buy Dead or Alive 6 if I get a new generation console, probably not anytime soon though.

Deleted, i changed my mind.

DoA has many attractive girls & a fighting system for beginners.
Before the DLCs we had to unlock costumes/chars since 1~4.
5 is well known for its crossover with Virtua Fighter, Samurai Warriors & The King of Fighters.
The entire series before being Xbox exclusives were made for Sega/Sony consoles before 5 for PS3, in 2011 the first DoA game for a Nintendo platform was released for the 3DS.

I remember costumes of Kasumi Todoh and it doesn't have Mai Shiranui costumes but it has Mai Shiranui as a DLC character in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Oh, thanks for telling me. That's cool to know.

It is a dating game where you have to get to stay with a guy.
The fun in this game is that there are different parameters (Intelligence, Sociability, Style, P.E, and more) that you will have to balance according to the guy you want to get.
There are special events and you can also attend appointments... where you have to answer some questions trying to relate it to the boy's personality.
It has really amazing and entertaining mini - games that I liked to play.
My sister played this and every time she played it, I couldn't help but watch her play.
Yo, if you are interested in a game with "similar" mecanics you should try Princess Maker 2.
Synopsis: You are a mighty knight who have just defeated an evil lord (something like that) when suddenly god (god?) send you a girl from the skies. Your mission is to take care of her until adulthood.
There are like +50 "endings" to the game. Your objetive is, obviously, get the princess ending (Princess Maker got it?), there are actually better endings to this though.
People should definitely give it a try. It has a beautiful artwork, soundtrack and story.
You can either go for the DOSBOX version (emulator/original) or refine (in steam). The original version used to be a freeware though, you can still find it.

You may know this, but Sarah Bryant and her brother Jacky Bryant from Virtua Fighter are also playable characters.

Don't play 3D fighters, but from what i remember, wasn't Sarah Bryant based on Nina from Tekken? Weren't they both blondes? My memory is trash so, i don't remember perfectly.

The original DOA5 adds Mila & Rig (OC), Akira Yuki/Pai-chan & Sarah Bryant (VF)
In the Ultimate revision of DOA5 for PS3/X360, Jacky Bryant (VF), Marie Rose (OC), Nyotengu (Female ver. of Tengu from DOA2), Momiji (Ninja Gaiden DS), Rachel (Ninja Gaiden XBOX series), Phase-4 (Kasumi clone), Ein (DOA2/Hayate without memory) were added+this also saw the return of Leon from DOA2.
while the Last Round revision adds Honoka (OC), Naotora II/2nd (Samurai Warriors) & Mai Shiranui (FF/KoF)+this also saw the return of Raidou (DOA1) but on his cyborg form.
DOA5 is also well known for its engine change to be more realistic as the chars produces dirt/sweat while fighting which reasonably looks good (in my opinion, thus the game has a large hatebase but i like it :p), the new powerful Critical Burst mechanic that you can perform after P2 goes to a Critical Hit state & the Critical Stun text flash red & the super move mechanic Power Blow.
DOA5U added a new Power Launcher mechanic too.

This is the reason of why DoA is the most hated game franchise now, Tekken 7 & SoulCalibur VI are the best in terms of current-age fighting games, Namco is doing good while Tecmo is now doing really bad.
DOA5LR is the first DOA game for 8th gen home consoles, in this case the PS4/XONE/PC versions have improved graphics from PS3/X360 versions+it also adds softness engine too & new DLC characters (Naotora & Mai).
DOA6 is also known for 2 new OCs (Diego & NiCO)+Kula Diamond (KOF) & Tamaki (DOAXVC).
