Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
I think i may get flak for this but the worst I have ever played was Lord's of the Fallen. I could not bring myself to even get to the third boss cause everything was so clunky and sluggish, a real shame as the overall idea of a nordic themed souls-like is a brilliant idea in concept.

Worst game I’ve ever played is Young Justice Legacy
-
Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Shrek: Treasure Hunt for PS1 is my forever all-time worst game, even though some games nowadays attempt to give it a run for its money

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Iron Axe (one of those awful Xbox 360 Indie games, they were mostly unplayable garbage but I miss them)

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
gotta be cities skylines due to lack of telling you how to play. I quit after 15 minutes due to lack of the game telling me how to play and just bouncing from thing to thing one after another confused one block tutorial really not explaining it, wham you know everything now, hope you remember it all though you learned it in maybe 10 minutes

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Elsword. I have a long history of mistakes in that game...

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Sorry if i already posted on this thread, but i guess it would be either King of Fighters 2001, King of Fighters 2003 (love KOF games but these ones are hard to enjoy for me) or Mortal Kombat 4. Gold was decent though, but 4 was meh. (sorry if that sounds weird)

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
The worst game I've ever played? That's a tough question. It's gotta be either Legendary: The Box or Mitos.is
-
Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Somari of Nes
Double Dragon and Pack Kong from Atari 2600 (Yes, people complain about ET having worse games on said console).
Some other game whose purpose is to annoy. (I am not referring to offensive games that touch on sensitive topics, I am talking about those games that simply playing them is already spitting in your face or making a bad joke).
I don't like to rely on IGN opinion, as many games that they consider bad are good.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
super man 64 was laggy and just bad in general

Kawasaki Jet Ski on the Wii. I was foolish enough to get this game back then as a kid. I didn't know any better regarding good or bad games. Upon learning of this game's reception and developer Data Design Interactive's bad track record of pushing out low quality trash like this, I distanced myself from this game. And because of this I held a somewhat cynical view on the Wii. I couldn't wait to get my hands on an Xbox 360 or a PS3.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
"Go Go, Copter" for the PS2. My uncle gifted me telling me was an awesome game, but when I turned on my PS2 and put this game into it I noticed it was a game about those little radio-controlled helicopters. Eww

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
I won't count games that just doesn't work (can't start, black/white screen, or can't move).
Phasmophobia : It's the most boring game I tried. You move very slowly, in a small dark house, and mostly nothing happens.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Garfield Gets Real on Nintendo DS. Got the game for my ninth or tenth birthday since at the time I loved Garfield for whatever f**king reason. It's a short game where you control Garfield through his day. He gets up, plays goalie for a bunch of flying books coming at him, there's a dance sequence afterward, Jon makes him breakfast, you gotta make him catch the eggs and bacon but not the plates, he dances, and then you have to go through the hardest level in any video game. Garfield has to platform his way through a playground in order to get to the studio.
Now, here's the number one reason why this game slurps Odie's infected, liquified fecal matter through a straw. The controls suck ***. To move Garfield, you either press right on the DPad, or swipe that direction on the touchscreen. The problem is that when Garfield starts moving, he does not stop when you let go of the DPad. Instead, you have to press or swipe down to get his fat feline *** to stop moving. Plus, like the obese prick that he is, he's so goddamn slow. To get him to jump, you either press a button (do you really think I'd be assed to remember which one?), or swipe up or up forward on the touchscreen. Garfield jumps like he's Simon Belmont, meaning he can't change direction once he jumps. Also, you can't move backwards during a platforming section.
I never got past this godforsaken playground stage, even years later, and it's the third level in the game (I think there's eight). Not only do you have to deal with the shitty *** controls, there's a metric shitton of obstacles that will kill you instantly. Yes, one screwup and Garfield gets his *** sent to the Shadow Realm, and you have to do the whole level again, no checkpoints. It lasts for an eternity too.
I looked up a speedrun of this game. After the playground, you have to chase a hot dog vendor, then you have to do the bed/kitchen scene again but this time in an alleyway, then you have one final platforming section where you have to rescue Odie from a burning hotel (tf?). This game has haunted me for around ten years now, and I caution the brave souls who are curious/stupid enough to want to give this game a try. It is the shittiest game I have ever played, and I have played Sonic 06.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Dokapon for the GBA. It's controls really slippery and the combat is extremely reliant on RNG. Only played it due to being familiar with Dokapon Kingdom (good game btw) and was extremely disappointed with it.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Godfall. What a total disappointment

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Raid Shadow Legends. Tried it to figure out what was with the "hype", found out later that it was just youtubers getting paid fat stacks to promote it.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
The Town With No Name. I know that it was made in the early days of Flash animation, but come on! The only good part about that game was the bartender minigame! The rest was just chaotic with honestly bad art style and even worse(and excessively amplified)sound effects- and a random unnecessary parody of "COME BACK, SHANE!"

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
I have a pretty high tolerance for bad games, I remember actually enjoying Shaq Fu so that tells you all you need to know right there. But I think the worst game I've ever played would have to be Pro Quarterback on SNES. A hilariously broken football game where things just sort of happen and you have little to no control over any of it. Passing is a roll of the dice as your receiver may decide a penny he found on the ground is more important than the football you just threw at them, running is useless as your offensive line decides blocking is for weenies and lets everyone and their brother through the line, and defense is stupidly overpowered as just being in the same area code as the ball carrier registers as a tackle.
Pro Quarterback is basically the game everyone thinks all old sports games are. A broken, unplayable relic of a bygone era.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Another bad game I remember playing was Back to the Future on NES, the one from LJN. And I didn't like it too much. One thing that clearly needs be to said, is contrary to what people may say, LJN was NEVER a video game developer and were a publisher instead. They contracted developers like Rare and Atlus to develop their games, even though they were mostly uncredited for their work.

Superman 64
I rented it as a kid from a movie store and it was god awful. I couldn't even get past the first stage because the controls were so bad. Now, years later, it's pretty much become a meme. You'd have to pay me to play it again.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Even though I love most of these franchises. These were the worst video game sequels I have ever played.
- Fire Emblem Fates, Boring characters, generic story, difficulty was a joke.
- Dynasty Warriors 9, Laughably bad English dub, Entire roster is filled with clones.
- Army of Two: Devil's Cartel, Salem and Rios were no longer playable so we are stuck with boring characters to play with.
- Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, The Wii remote didn't work well with this game compared to LOZ Twilight Princess.
- Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Skeleton game for a $60 price tag.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
GT Pro Series (2006): Released as a launch title for the Wii, this game can best described as a poor man's Gran Turismo with cel-shaded graphics. Poor controls, bad sound quality, especially from the car engines. It's gets worse when you realize that this a port of a Japan-only racing game called GT Cube, released for the Gamecube in 2003. There are practically no differences between the two games other than the controls. Not exactly a good start for being the Wii's first racing game.
Any of Data Design Interactive's games: This British developer was the bane of every Wii owners' existence in the mid-late 2000s. They earned themselves a bad reputation with games featuring horrible controls and graphics etc. I had an experience with one of their games, Kawasaki Jet Ski and I quickly realized that it was it enough for me to start losing faith in the Wii.
Sorry if I'm being biased towards the Wii. It was a great console, but all the shovelware and budget title just it made it look bad. I ended up selling most of my Wii games because of it, and only kept a few ones, like Super Smash Bros Brawl, for example.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
I guess I'd pick Silent Line Armored Core
The game's solid, and the combat is fun, but if you aren't using a guide the game is almost impossible to get past if you're going in blind.
The reason I stopped playing was because one of the missions that I was doing, (which was obligatory since they're one of the only ways to make money, besides the arena) practically made me lose all my money because I kept taking damage from some unblockable projectiles that kept chipping away at my mech's health, almost causing me to fail the mission. When I miraculously finished the mission, of the 30k dollars I had, I got an additional 5k from completing the mission.
I then lost 28k from "repair costs" and another 3k from "Ammo refill". I then promptly quit the game, and now it's gathering dust in my old cabinet.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
I don't buy very many bad games cause I usually tend to look at reviews and get multiple opinions on games I'm considering buying. I'm always trying to make sure I don't waste my money. I've played bad games, but my memory of most are foggy cause most of the times were in my childhood. Perhaps the transformers: Dark of the Moon game. It was pretty bad, but I can't overlook a game that may not have been as bad, probably just mediocre. But compared to the rest of it's series, it looks like such a stain. Devil May Cry 2 is a game I would consider the worst I'd played. It's as easy as inhaling oxygen, and betrays the name "Devil May Cry". They made Dante such a boring character, and the combat is a husk of what it was in the first game. Of course, if we didn't have DMC2, we probably wouldn't have gotten the DMC3 we got, and it seems the same can be said with DMC: Devil May Cry and the creation of Devil May Cry 5. Mistakes lead to success.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Super Smash Flash (2006). While this game may have been fun back then, it has not aged very well. Issues I had with the game were mostly slippery controls/physics. You're better off playing its sequel Super Smash Flash 2.
Pit Fighter (1990): This was one of the first ever fighting games to feature digitized graphics, but it is not fun to play at all. Bad controls and everything. When Mortal Kombat came out a couple years later, Pit Fighter became outdated pretty quickly. There's no reason to play this nowadays, unless you're curious about it.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Wii/PS2 version): Imagine playing a Transformers game where you cannot transform most of the time. That would be this game.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Power Ranger Samurai on Wii. Normally kids don't notice how bad licensed games are, mainly b/c they're based on their favorite shows. But this game's models, controls, and methods of getting secrets were all so bad that they even got an 8-year-old to hate it.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Need for Speed ProStreet (PSP version): Possibly the worst of the NFS games on the PSP. It suffers from poor vehicle controls and physics, very limited vehicle customization, among other issues. It also uses way too much motion blur to the point that its actually disorienting. I don't mind motion blur, but it doesn't need to be taken to extreme levels like this.
Need for Speed Most Wanted (Nintendo DS version): My god.... This is just an atrocious game to play and even look at. How did such an awesome and memorable racing game end up butchered on a handheld system like the DS? I don't know. The worst thing about this is that the developer of this port, Sensory Sweep Studios, was actually later involved in serious legal issues, which involved the company's founder and CEO being arrested for refusing to pay his own employees for their work. Imagine working for a mediocre video game company, churning out crappy games, and having a boss so corrupt, he doesn't even pay you, no matter how many hours you've worked. I genuinely feel bad for anybody who had the misfortune of working here, they deserved better than this.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
For me the worst game I've ever played, very personally, although I know many people will be offended, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Personally I thought it was going to hook me as much as the first installment. But god, I got really bored with the tremendous 8 hour tutorial they put at the beginning. (which I already know how to play!) but well, another game... I think it could be Twisted Metal 3 on PSX. Horrible physics, horrible button mapping. I can only say that the soundtrack is great. Another game I hated was Resident Evil 6, I think many will know why.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
The worst game I have ever played was a racing crash that came out for mobile phones, it was very, very badly configured, I didn't personally like a lot of people, maybe yes, but not even that game anymore xd

Shadow of Rome for the PS2. It starts off as a really cool hack and slash, but by the second half the game becomes tedious as hell

Shaq fu, its kinda hilarious though.

Re: Worst Game You've Ever Played?
Probably Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei (DDS:MT 1, more specifically) on the Super Famicom. It's a very unpolished game with boring dungeons and BS combat. Shin Megami Tensei 1 gave me a better experience, tbh.
