What do you think about the fighting game series Killer Instinct?
What's your opinion on the fighting game series, Killer Instinct? What do you think about it? Do you like it or dislike it? Have you ever played it before or not? Discuss.
I love Killer Instinct, to be honest, it's my favorite childhood game. And that theme... Oh dear, the badassness. This game will always have a special place in my heart for some reason, i love the characters, the combos, the themes, it is a old game (though to be honest, i love old games, old music etc), but i still enjoy playing it.
The sequel, Killer Instinct 2 is pretty fun too, though i kinda dislike that Riptor and Cinder weren't playable in it, but the new characters are cool too and i like the new designs.
It does have some similarities with Mortal Kombat, but i don't really believe it's a 'rip-off' or a copy, both of them are good in their own ways anyway.
What is your opinion on KI? If you have ever played it, do you like it, love it, dislike it or hate it?

Hm... Although it's most likely a Mortal Kombat copy, it's not like it's the only copy around.
I suppose it's fine overall, except for the humans, wich I dislike.

Although I did not play it, I like the latest one because of Hisako, I am in love with her :wub: I will main her if I have a chance to play this game :wavetowel:

Killer Instinct is godtier fighting game. I played the hell out of the first one, played a bit of the second one and to this day i play KI 2013.
It gets overshadowed by the big fighting games but it's one of the best fighting games around right now. While games like MK11 and SFV are dreadfully boring to watch, KI 2013 is incredibly hype. And the soundtrack...man, don't even get me started on the soundtrack.

Agreed. i LOOOOOVE playing Riptor. the way he dashes doing a headbutt is sooooo epic.

bruh i loced the hell outta that game, I fell outta of it cuz none of my girl friends were playing it, but 100% a great game. i felt a lot fairer up front compared to other fighters

I was just never my speed to be honest, I like slower fighting games where decision making can get you out of a jam just as much as pure reaction time can.

I liked it more than the Darkstalkers. For me it did the monster fighter game concept better, also his OST is pretty awesome.

It also did it better for me, although I wonder why it couldn't have an all monsters roster too instead of including those humans that look like parodies of MK chars.

Yeah, the human characters are not the strongest point of the franchise.

I personally don't care for it at all. Just the fact the first two used prerendered 3d is a turn-off for me, and the next-gen reboot doesn't interest me at all.
I think i even said this in some "unpopular opinions" thread:
-I don't get the hype for Killer Instinct. The announcer is only entertaining the first few times you hear him and the CGI of the first two games aged terribly.
