How were you shown/introduced to M.U.G.E.N in the first place.
Twitch recommended SaltyBet recently while I was browsing for new channels to watch. I instantly got hooked to the live stream I discovered and wondered what engine the game plays. I searched M.U.G.E.N on Google, and it immediately piqued my interest
Because a YT video showcasing weird characters. Then I realized you can play as any Smash character in a Street Fighter fighting style so I instantly downloaded the game
AfroSenju XL, who i found on a whim, did some cool stuff, so i wanted to try it out myself :D
I was browsing YouTube when I saw a guy playing MUNGEN as a couple of my favorite anime characters so I thought I would try it out.
Well it was back in 2011 where I was scrolling through YouTube and found the “recommended gem.” It was basically just a typical old MUGEN match. It featured all the old classic characters like Homer Simpson, Ryu, Mario, Peter Griffin, Deadpool, and Ronald McDonald. At first, I was like “Woah is this the new Smash Bros?” But then I realized it was a game with unlimited potential. And then I just started making characters after that.
My friend told me about SaltyBet and we watched and bet for hours. Later Youtube recommended a MUGEN video to me and I was surprised that it looked so different from what i saw before. Now I found my new favorite game.
my friend has like a mugen roster of atleast 25+ donald edits and i fondly remember spending the entire day playing vs with him
I searched where you can get enough voice acting of some characters, and then I decided to look at this site
A long time ago me and my brother played this game together. I forgot about it until recently, I was watching James (youtuber) played a game called rivals of aether, which reminded me of mugen. So I tried mugen out.
My best friend was playing a game like all day.I said hım like"what are You playing rn" and he told me about mugen. He said that ıt's so good and has lots of characters stages. After that we found ikemen and played like 8 hours.I can spend more time playing mugen because ıt's so entertaining.
During a school lunchtime, nearly three years ago, I decided to check out what my friend was doing. He was on Mugen, watching randomly selected characters fight each other. The sheer diversity of his roster intrigued me, so I got out my laptop and looked into it. After learning about the potential for customization (I love it when games are like that!), I knew then that I'd be sticking with Mugen for a while.
found out about it through a Vinesauce Joel stream forever ago, just recently saw it again and decided to get into it myself
Idk when I found about M.U.G.E.N, because it was years ago, but I started playing M.U.G.E.N this year after searching for marvel vs capcom 2 and finding it on Youtube.
It was a version with more characters, so I started seeing M.U.G.E.N as a good engine to play with my favorite characters.
double-clicking on it
sksksksks
I forgot but I found it fun
2009 searching for fighting games on google haha
downloaded ultra anime champions on my phone when i was bored. here i am now got a pc mainly for mugen lol
Mainly Youtube videos dragged me here, its very interesting how people are able to take a fighting game engine to its limits.
Initially a friend showed me that you could make spongebob fight homer simpson - ended up going home and downloading the game myself. I recently saw a Cybershell video that mentioned mugen, so I wanted to relive the game for nostalgia!
Ok so I found this out the same way I found KoF out by playing a flash game of KoF Flash Wing which I will admit to being the best flash game on the internet
I was in either 5th grade or 6th, after school I stay back to kind of make up and do extra work and kind of slack off learning the back way to youtube and so I somehow ran into that and the moment I did a move causing Iori to slam Kyo against a wall i was drawn to the game like a noth to a flame.
Also, I also found out was mugen is through Glasses's YouTube I looked up Orochi Iori and...silver flame nuke like explosions changes my whole gaming world and grew into a...7 year addict but I couldn't play it until recently which im learning more and more
I mainly just found mugen out from a youtube video
I was introduced via Vinesauce Joel so long ago, very good times
Youtube surprisingly
AfroSenju & Naruto
saw some youtube videos about it, liked it, forgot about it, then i remembered it existed and downloaded it
it looked really cool, really smooth, and interesting, u don't see these kind of games alot
i began watching videos about it and fell in love with being able to fight with stupid characters, so here i am
Back while I was still starting out on FGs, while searching for fighting games I came across a youtube video which name was disguised as something else but it was actually footage of a Saltybet match. So I asked a friend what it was and he told me it was MUGEN.... aaand it all started from there
This video.
I watched it back in 2008 and fell in love with it. i've been playing mugen ever since.
