What are some of the most toxic fandoms you know?

What fandoms, in your opinion, are the most toxic? Or just one toxic fandom if you don't know a lot of toxic fandoms.

In my opinion, Sonic seems to be the most toxic fandom, (even though i'm not even interested in it anymore) i guess Sonic games are fun (though it's been a while i've played one) but i feel like its fandom looks toxic and has lots of weird fanart. (Cringe and i hate to say it, "cancer" are pretty offensive and harsh words so, i wanted to say something less harsh) Though not everyone in the fandom is toxic, i guess.

And i will most likely get attacked and hated for this, but JoJo (or for long, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) fandom also has few toxic fans too, i know that few of them told some person who drew a furry Jotaro to k*** themselves (censored because it's offensive but i'll remove this part if i have to) and can be rude to other fandoms too. Though the JoJo anime and manga are likeable, if i have to say something positive.

Can't think of any, at least none that are relevant.
If anything, I get more annoyed by the people screeching "Toxic Fandom" since they more often than not make a mountain out of an anthill.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's fandom.

They shoehorn Thanos into everything to the point to where the memes reduce him to a purple Shrek with Marty Stu powers. I actually like Marvel over DC but jesus christ Thanos didn't even have name recognition before Infinity War/Endgame. The movies themselves are kinda campy too. I went to a drive-in theater to go see Black Panther and Infinity War but i really only paid attention to the former.



Otherwise, i think those who bicker and bicker about "tOxIc FaNdOmS" are just as annoying as fandoms themselves; hell, even the Sonic fandom is more chill than what it's sensationalized to be.

tbh i think everytime a community goes toxic its just a vocal minority of batshit crazies who cant get a job and camp online
only exception is fortnite its toxic bc its a bunch of 8yo

SuperMarioLogan fandom.
I've been watching since 2009 or so. I've seen it all. Honestly I don't really watch anymore because things just got too crazy after Logan announced an SML movie.
But the fandom is mostly young kids so of course it's gonna be filled with some untamed behavior.

Final Fantasy fandom. Most of us are pretty chill and I actually like chatting with fans or seeing how the games work, but a toxic Final Fantasy fan is most likely a really over the top crazy guy who just take things too far. They could be a side villain in a Final Fantasy game. Even though the amount of toxic fans is not so apparent, it's the toxicity level that poisons the whole cake.

One really toxic fandom I've been to is almost literally any game on the ROBLOX platform. Just all the angry 6 year old ragers makes me laugh when they called me trash when I played. So that was the most toxic fandom I've been on. Then the chat filter became a big thing to block words.

Another is the Anime Fandom. My favorite anime/manga series is currently JOJO'S BIZZARE ADVENTURE. I told one of my friends in a open discord server that my favorite anime/manga was JJBA, and everybody in the chat was also saying their favorites. But after a little bit people started to insult each other and say some things that you cant say in school. My friend is kind-of pals with a server admin. Me, My Friend, and the Admin get into a call and talk about whats happening, and then the Admin proceeds to say "Okay, that happens most the time if people bring up topics that can be argued." I then left the call, and about a month or two later the Owner closes the server due to "Angry DM's about toxicity".

You forgot the most toxic of them all, the boys from JoJoS BiZaRrE AdVeNtUrEs (Sadly I'm a part of it though)

Roblox, Five Nights at Freddy's, Fortnite, PUBG, Cuphead, DDLC, Bendy and the Ink Machine, every horror game and movie, Steven Universe, Disney (including Star Wars and Marvel), Apple, Undertale/Deltarune, Minecraft, Evangelion, My Hero Academia, My Little Pony, K-Pop, PewDiePie, Republican (especially Trump fans), Democrat, SJW, Alt-Right, Super Smash Bros., Puella Magi Madoka Magica (and by extension, Gen Urobutchi), Anime Elitist, PETA, and the Paul Brothers

Undertale, Star Wars, MCU, and unfortunately (because i'm part of it) Super Smash Brothers.: when a young girl (about 14) beat one of the best player in the world, SSB fandom harass this girl, to the point she was forced to quit the competitive sphere. It's shameful.

Smash, Capcom, Fallout, Undertale, Fortnite.

Homestuck and Undertale held the title of most toxic fandoms in my book for a while but they both have calmed down from there peak for the most part.

I would pick Steven universe

There is not such thing as a non toxic fandom.

While I knnow that the homestuck and Sonic fandoms can get pretty bad, I probably dislike Steven Universe the most so probably Steven Universe. If not Five Nights at Freddy's. It's probably a lack of common interests but still, sometimes you guys like being a little crazy.

Star Wars. Never met a more fickle and whiny bunch of fanboys. And this is coming from a die hard fanboy. As a Star Wars fan, I love all of the movies and shows. Sure, some are better than others, but some of these fanboys are crybabies and bullies. They literally bullied Jake Lloyd out of acting when he was just a kid. His performance as Anakin may have been bad, but he was a freaking kid. He could've gotten better with age if he'd not been bullied and death-threatened so hard he quit acting. That's just one example and I could go on for hours, but short answer is Star Wars has one of the most toxic fanbases around.

The Smash Community.

The way the Steven Universe Fandom treated that artist turned me off from the entire show. I think the Artist was namedLauren Zuke I think. Basically the artist didn’t draw the characters in the same way as the show and people acted like the artist was attacking body size and shaming. Totally missing the point that different artists have different styles and made her artist quit twitter and D-art.

Just sad.

Dungeons and Dragons, with Smash Bros. and literally any ripoff or clone or of Smash Bros you can think of very close behind. Let's just say whenever D&D comes up it's kind of a red flag.

Roughest community I ever personally went to was For Honor. Of all games, For Honor.

I gotta add Marvel vs. Capcom up here too.

True but in my opinion toxic people are outside the norm., Most of these groups have lovers, while others have just poisonous people that kill any fun or love for the project at all. They almost suck the life out show/context.

When they’re toxic, They forget to write/speak proper English, sometimes.

Steven Universe has to be the absolute worst one for me. Any fandom that berates someone so much that they end up causing physical harm to themselves is at the most toxic it can be.

Rainbow6 Siege, love the game to death, but man people are extremely toxic if you make even the slightest error at certain ranks.

The JoJo fanbase. Can't call them out for always circlejerking the same 5 jokes every time without being bombarded with dislikes and called a thousand slurs.

The Playstation 4/ Sony fanbase and their exclusive games. They think that have a PS4 makes you instantly better than any people who have other console. lmao console wars sucks anyway

Undertale and MHA, I've seen it first handed since i've been in those fandoms.

I like Jojo a lot but I do have to say that many other people are very toxic if you insult it. One of my main reasons I joined mugen archive was because I saw jojo mugen and i thought it was really neat. I feel bad that i'm a fan of jojo because of these toxic people who idolize it as their bible and that no one should badmouth it.
