so..BlazBlue?
something that controls like the Automatic mode of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny/Gundam SEED Battle Assault (GBA), has a bunch of characters to choose from, and an advanced, complex (but easy to use) "create your own character" mode
Definitely needs 2D graphics (they look much cleaner than 3D ones), beautiful stages, battle damage would be nice for characters, and a full roster of about 50 characters.
I'm looking for a diverse selection of characters. I have no need for the story or for the characters (or even the graphics) to match. More and more I'm thinking 48 is probably the correct number of characters for me
There isn't going to be anyone using the mugen I make for competitive play, so the balancing is going to be done around the ai vs ai matches (most players are 8-13 and are just going to mash hard punch anyways).
The control scheme also needs to be accessible. I don't mind having some input required from the players, however one of the biggest problems I've had over the years in fighting games is players that don't basically dedicate some serious amount of time to the games being completely locked out of being able to play them effectively. I've literally won matches in games before standing still and pressing jab when the opponent got close because the inputs for special moves were so difficult my opponents options were A: button mash B: attempt them and effectively do nothing at all while playing. Smash Bros is a good game in my opinion basically for its controls alone due to this, though far from the one I'd put at the top of my own list.
I invision a fighting game...with every character from every gaming company...
Nintendo, Sega, Microsoft, Sony, all their characters will get featured in one fighting game.
I also invision that it will be multi-platform, for the XBOX ONE X, PS4 PRO, Nintendo Switch, and even on iOS.
all I need is a JoJo game with the roster of Eyes of Heaven, developed as a traditional Arc Sys fighter
I just want a game with every character from the franchise. Fighting games have a weird habit nowadays of removing essential characters from the roster to introduce new ones. Like ehonda just got introduced to sfv 3 years later
I'm more of a Street Fighter fan, so really, a game with the sprites and mechanics of SF3 as well as the menu style and -ISMs of SFA3 would be perfect in my end.
Anything called Guilty Gear
Something like Street Fighter but easier for new player to get into but extremely rewarding for veteran players. Also all characters are on an even playing field it isn’t about the character you pick but more of how you play them and obviously somr sexy and cute girls. Can’t have a good fighting game without nice ladies.
I think a perfect fighting game would be a game that consists of many characters and stages and with all of their stats balanced meaning there will be no op characters and to get the win the game would rely on the skill of the players.
Also a game that does not run out of conten.
A balanced story mode and free play gameplay and well evened out characters
Something like MUGEN, but 3D, on console, and with consistent story modes that are more then just the opening and ending.
I'd say a great fighting game would be a fighting game that features a nice large selection of carefully designed characters. There's a group of characters for everybody to get into and each playable fighter has their own movesets and statistics. To me a great fighting game could have a nice looking art style that would feel signature to it. Other stuff to bring more content like missions and a story mode in a similar style from Smash could also be fire. Overall I would just love to stumble across more fighting games that are accessible to many people but can also be fun for people who like challenge and/or sophisticated gameplay.
Mugen comes really close to a perfect fighting game for me.

more 3d graphics....
M.U.G.E.N, simplemente M.U.G.E.N
A violent, p3rverted sh!tpost of a game that is a rotten amalgamation of Guilty Gear, Pokemon, Mortal Kombat and Noise Factory's Neo-Geo games. I would make a roster if i could.
something that is not frustrating, but has a good challenge.
A traditional Capcom-esque six button fighter with MvC3 combos, SF3 3rd Strike parry and 2v2 tag gameplay. Also needs to have lots of interesting characters and stages, and a story similar to a JRPG where it seems shallow on the surface, but really draws you in the further you go.
probably 3rd strike with lots of SNK style chars, since i love 3rd strike's gameplay but i think KOF has characters that look cool af
