What got me into mugen was probably some videos on YouTube and I liked how the game was very customizable. Or it's because I like the flashy moves some characters have. Still learning combos.

Eh, for me it was me going at a friends house, and since we just had a pc and flash fighting games were kinda not fun for us, he made a mugen out of naruto characters. I didn't know what was mugen at the time, and I had a blast playing it with my friend. I asked him what the game was, and he introduced me to this wonderful world that is mugen :)
Found out about it through Reddit. Mugen was on one of the subreddits that I frequented, which led to me trying Mugen out.
I love 2d fighting games like the Super Smash Bros series, Bleach Vs Naruto (anyone tried this out? its really good) Then I came across Mugen. I reallly loved this considering I can add or remove characters I loved or hated. Now I am absolutely addicted to Mugen.

I learned about it when I was in like middle school or so, and got a bit into it back then, downloading characters and playing around with it and stuff. Ended up falling out of it before long, and was reminded of it a month or two ago by a twitter post and have been getting back into it again.

I've known about MUGEN for many years now, but I really didn't start really experiencing it until last summer. The highly customizable nature of Mugen really drew my attention, but the process to add content to it made it seem inconvenient at first. Eventually I got the hang of it, and I would go on have a roster of nearly 500 characters. Then, almost 2 months later, my computer ran into serious problems, and I had to start all over again. Right now I am at 148 characters and 19 stages.
Personally i got all Kor Undertale characters

I remember about 8-9 years ago when I first ran across an image from MUGEN and because I'm a die hard Capcom/Street Fighter fan I quickly became obsessed with finding out what it was. Fast forward to now, I actually hadn't played in well over 5-6 years and the word MUGEN just randomly popped into my head today and here I am, back again!
The videos. They showed me how awesome the platform was, which led me to feeling like I need to use this for once.
It was Joel's original video on MUGEN that got me intrested in it but it was his VHFSMACVUSMRRM stream that got me into it.
I was watching a korean iwbtg fangame video from a person who seemed to be obsessed with gustab, this led to me searching who gustab is which led me to finding Zelgadis's KOF Memorial fangame, which led me to MUGEN, where I was interested that this is a fighting game with character creation
