What got me into MUGEN was the idea that you could select a roster full of characters that I wanted in and not other fighters.
For me I saw some friends playing an anime mugen they downloaded and it looked like fun so a began to make my own mugen with the characters I love.
I saw it years back, and I've been off and on ever since.

I just enjoy the entire "crossover" beetween the different characters,saw my brother playing the game for quite some time, made an account today and here i am.
A friend introduced me to it and then I stayed with it because of the crazy matchups you can have.
Knew this engine since when i was a kid around 2008 or 2009 (5 or 6 years), i played some games when i got back from school (Namco X Capcom Brawlers & Pocket Fighter MUGEN are good examples), good memories of my childhood.
The animation.
I was attracted to MUGEN by a colleague of mine. He introduced me to a game of this engine, showed me some possibilities. One was to include a wide variety of characters. From then on, I was researching. Currently, like many others around the world, I can create, edit chars, stages and even entire games.
AfroSenju also got me into Mugen, although I had seen it before and caught my attention, I never really went deep into searching for them.
Youtube videos. Watching Homer and Peter Fighting Marco and Iori was always fun to watch.
Plus I always liked fighting games.
En 2006 par là, mon meilleur amis m'a fait découvrir Mugen, j'en croyais pas mes yeux, déjà que j'adore les jeux de combat, mais en plus il y' avait des personnage de mondes totalement divers et notamment des dessins animée ajouter a celà la possibilité des crée son propre jeu de A à Z. alors là je suis tomber amoureux :l'amour:
et je l'aime comme au premiers jours, et pour toujours, lol, grâce a tous ceux sur la toile qui crée du contenue, et fait de ce jeu a l'image de l'univers en expansion, une source infinie de joie :) . Mon profond respect a ceux qui continue a lui prêter vie .
