On YouTube, in 2011 or 2012 I think, I stumbled across a YouTube video with my favorite internet meme back then called “Weegee”, who was a character in this mugen video. I was interested to see my favorite (not anymore really) meme fighting against other characters.
When I was a kid my dad once burned some MUGEN dbz game for my ps2, that's the first time I ever saw/heard about MUGEN, I didn't understand it back then, but looking back on it, it was pretty dope.
Literally shortly after winmugen released. There was a DBZ Mugen Version (a pretty crappy one) on a CD of a german gaming magazin and they were advertising mugen, so i downloaded it. So yeah, im oldschool :D
I learned about MUGEN a couple years ago, but I was on Mac so I felt discouraged because I couldn't run it. I recently saw a video on how to run it on mac.
I believed I found about MUGEN when I came across one of AfroSenju's videos involving MUGEN. Don't know exactly when though.

I found out about MUGEN back when it was still in MS-Dos format, oO
By the way, this was back when I think I was still using a Windows 98 based Computer. They later came out with an MS-Dos / Windows Version.
The Quality of MUGEN was not bad, but due to a problem, the Program only supported up to like 10 Characters at this time, maxed,
New Additional Characters were being blocked by the platforms design, & the Games Constantly crashed after too much time Gaming in them...
I believe all of this was fixed when they came out with a "High-Res No Crash WinMUGEN Edition"...

Been playing Mugen for roughly 15 years or so. Started messing around with it when I was like 12 or something. I always loved Customization and i had a huge love of Fighting Games in general. Went online in 2002, and got the original Winmugen from the Elecbyte site before the page got taken down years later. I recently just got back into it again after figuring out how to play it on my Macintosh. Now, I'm happily reunited. Also, got into < > and Saltybet which helped me discover new characters for my roster. Got at least a good 2,800 character roster so far.
I saw a salty bet stream years ago and thought it was super neat.

around 4-5 years ago i found a video on youtube of mugen compilation with a bunch of random characters and stages. it looked cool so i downloaded it :smile:
The first time I knew about MUGEN was in 2016 when a friend told me about it then later came over then played it with. My jaw dropped when we started playing and I could barely contain my excitement
may or may not about 2016 in youtube, I was shocked by seeing something like Luffy vs Goku. But i thought it was a game called Jump Ultimate Stars though

I saw this trailer somewhere with s 2d dbz game i never heard of and wanted to play. It had really cool looking 2d sprites and i had never heard of mugen before as i didn't play pc games. I was a console player, but now i have a gaming computer and i do both. I think it was hyper dbz mugen.
I first heard about MUGEN around 2012, but I can't remember which characters were featured in the first videos I watched on Youtube.:okay:
