In what way were you introduced to M.U.G.E.N?

i watch this youtuber called afrosenjuXL and he started playing mugen as this little series on his channel and then i set it up for myself.

I saw a video on youtube where Peter Griffin was fighting Homer Simpson

Okay it was 2013 (i think) and i saw a video of Mario and Luigi and vs SpongeBob and Patrick , and they were fighting on a red Yoshi's Island stage i think. With a strange background music that sounded like a dude rapping with Super Mario Bros Underground music, And you believe me back then that blew my socks off, It wasn't until 2020 that i downloaded mugen and i am enjoying the hell out of it.

I found out about MUGEN from some random bootleg games that my dad used to buy for me when i was a kid.

I think the roster had like 200+ characters with mostly SnK characters with some cool stuff like flame kenshou.

i heard about it through a podcast when the conversation of fighting games came up, they started talking about mugen.

My big brother introduced it to me in 2004

Capcom Vs. SNK 3 introduces me to this community.

I've seen it before but I didn't wanted to play since today when I saw a AfroSenju gameplay.

I got into Mugen through looking on Google, seeing if I can make my own fighting game.

Random YouTube videos, and the SnarkTank podcast. Saw it on youtube, but the SnarkTank actually told me that I could get what I was looking at. I try not to look at youtube comments because they are so negative all the time.

I saw this custom 2d dbz fighting game that i never heard of. I thought the game was called dbz mugen, turns out mugen was the fighting engine itself. Later on i found x-men cota mugen and mvc mugen. Been mugen ever since.

The first video about MUGEN I ever saw was Mattalocalypse back in 2013
Also what made me actually play the engine

Salty bet which inspired me to try finding some of the weird and crazy characters

in 2006, when YouTube was newish, I found a video of N64 Mario fighting Slayer from Guilty Gear, and I was like "WTF, IS THIS A ROMHACK???"

And it was all downhill from there :smile:
