Yeah, exactly. I feel like Japanese is a bit easy to speak for me, it's easier than pronouncing English words, but writing is a completely different story.
I sometimes forget how to write some Kanjis, but to say them? Not that hard in my opinion.
There are some languages that are hard to write, but easy to speak, and some are the other way around. For me, Japanese words are easy to say, but writing them is difficult.
And the existence of Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji is what makes Japanese hard when you're listening to someone speak Japanese, because when you're a beginner, you don't really know which words are Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. Is only one used, or two or the all three? And time for another opinion that will probably make people think i'm insane:
I'm actually kind of thankful that Kanji exists. Sure, it may be difficult, and there are some easy ones though, but i feel like Japanese would be a boring and unattractive language if words were only used in Hiragana and/or Katakana. I feel like it's what makes Japanese a cool language, sometimes, hard things are fun as well, when one actually understands them. But interest makes everything look fun, really.

Pineapple on pizza is pretty good :)

Smash Bros is heavily overrated, like its nice to have all those characters in one game but after a certain point it just gets rlly boring for me

DOA or DNF Duel are too stupid aggressive fighting games.

Here's a big one. I find having to memorize long strings of precise button inputs deeply unfun. Combos look amazing to pull off, but I find them nearly impossible no matter how much I practice because the second I'm put in the tense situation of an actual match all that memory vanishes one.

I hate the phrase "true fan" and i feel like people use that phrase to gatekeep people from enjoying something.
I can understand loving something, but when someone starts saying "only true fans remember this episode!" and other crap, that's when it crosses the line for me. I don't really wanna be a true fan of anything, in fact, i don't even believe anyone can be a true fan of anyone or anything, i feel like people only use that phrase to raise their egos and make themselves feel better than others. Either way, just liking something is good enough in my opinion. Just don't think you're better than other people and fans. "True" fans also prevent newcomers from enjoying something and bully people for not being knowledgeable as much as them. One has to know that without the past, there wouldn't be future, everyone starts at some point.
Yes, it's true some people are very good at games, sports, running etc. But they weren't always skilled, they either learned from someone else or by themselves. People can't be good at everything.
It's ok to be a fan of anyone and anything. But "true" fans can be annoying and rude.

Enjoying things is not a competition. You either enjoy things or you don't. Some people know less, some people know more, but it's not a competition. It's an entertainment purpose.

Bohemian Rhapsody isn't even that good

This one might **** some people off but....I NEVER honestly liked Mai Shiranui at all. I find her really shallow as a character and useless in SNK lore in the grand scheme of things. She's really only known for her fanservice and her beyond cringeworthy obsession with a guy who might not even like her. If I want a fanservicey kunoichi in a fighting game, I'll gladly take DOA's Ayane instead, since she at least has an ACTUAL character arc and Itagaki ATTEMPTED to make you care about her. Something SNK never did with Mai. And no, I am NOT a Reddit/Twitter tier fanservice hating puritan.


Also a minor one, but I always find it groanworthy when people use "edgy/edgelord/tryhard" in an unironic manner likes it's still the 2000s/2010s all they because they dislike/hate "dark" characters. If you dislike that archetype, fine, but please quit using that term unironically.

One more...Miraheze is not a good website and people need to seriously stop parroting off of its' takes (which in itself parrots of takes from e-celebs). You'll suddenly become a saner human being and feel better about yourself when you do so.

I agree with everything here.
I enjoy SNK's games, and i don't mind Mai's existence, but other than being memorable and s3xually attractive, what other purpose did she serve in the games? If she didn't exist, people wouldn't really care about SNK and that kind of upsets me, because there's more to games than just hot girls. Someone can be hot but a bland person. There's more to life than s3x and s3xy people, let's appreciate innocence and being attractive as well, not everything has to be hot and turning people on.

The word "edgy" has kind of lost its meaning because people constantly abuse it, and we constantly call people and characters edgy, even the ones that need help and a honest conversation to make their life better and not rude words. Can something be dark and serious for once and not called edgy? I guess it all depends on the perspective. I found Shiki from Tsukihime problematic but realistic in few aspects, however, not edgy, i mean,

his parents died while he was a child and his adopted brother went insane and killed him, and he got hit by a car when he was a child and saw death in everyone and everythng.

The boy needed serious help, saying this as his fan, he hurt himself and also hurt the people he loves and the people who love him. And also, Higurashi, despite murder and gory scenes, is not edgy and it's not a series about how everyone kills people and gets away with it perfectly. In fact, it's a series about

how doubting the wrong person/people who are actually innocent (Keiichi doubted Rena and Mion in the first chapter and then killed them, but he regretted it) and trying to get away with murder (Keiichi killed Teppei flawlessly, but everyone said he was at the festival which made him go insane and paranoid, Rena killed Rina and Teppei because she believed that they're ruining her father's life, but she got in trouble as well) can actually ruin people's lives.

However, i agree that sometimes, people can go too far with dark topics such as s1icide, murder, harming people. If that's all someone talks about, then that can make people feel uncomfortable, concerned and afraid. Include them, but have limits as well and try to be realistic, life has beautiful and ugly things. Hiding bad things that happen will only make them worse, people should be educated about why some things are bad.

Also, i was never a big fan of Miraheze, its design has always looked bland to me. I prefer FANDOM, because so much can be done there, and you can add backgrounds if you want, you don't have to be stuck with a white background. Other than background, i am not a fan of Miraheze whatever people say, i don't know, something feels off about it.

Evangelion is fine, but I feel a lot of fans of it (not all of them) tend to overpraise/overanalyze it too much (particularly on EvaGeeks, do NOT go to that site if you value your sanity) and get crazy over it. (I feel the same about those who do the same with Code Geass and Gurren Lagann) I also hate how they dismiss anime similar to it by calling them "eva clones/knockoffs" (which really anyone will say about anything without digging deep) when in actuality Evangelion ITSELF drew influence from Ultraman, kaiju films, Gundam and even Space Runaway Ideon. And personally, I find those "clones" interesting and some even better than EVA. (case in point, Argento Soma and Rahxephon).

Also, I vastly prefer Evangelion's manga to the anime, I actually feel it did some things better than the anime.

Another take. Ingrid is a character I actually don't despise. Actually, I kinda feel bad for her that she gets so much crap from SF's fans for being "too anime" (when Street Fighter/Capcom has drawn influence from anime/manga for their games for DECADES). She has a really cool design and I like some of her powers. However, I will agree that I dislike how her character was portrayed in Fighting Jam and Street Fighter's lore. Her backstory in Capcom Fighting All-Stars: Code Holders was WAY better, though.

Squid Game is overrated unoriginal bland pretentious garbage that tries to be something groundbreaking and deep when it really isn't. Seriously, Battle Royale and Total Drama Island did the whole 'group of people forced to fight/play games to the death' shtick way better back in 2000 and 2007 respectively.

Screenpacks with huge slots are unnecessary. There's no need for 1000+ slots, unless you're a hoarder that just grabs anything you see.
I think 300-500 is sorta ideal and even so i think it's going kinda overboard. but 1000+ is just absurd. Good luck having to wait 5 minutes for your Mugen to load.

I really dislike the art direction of Street Fighter 6 with it being more realistic and wish more fighting games went back to using 2D sprites as those are better looking in my opinion

I agree. There are alot of fighting games taking this approach unfortunately. Some look fine in 3D, but others look better as 2D or at the very least 2.5D.

YES! THANK YOU! Even Looney Toons did a scene with the Blue Danube much better than Squid Game!

Rhyme Rider Kerorican is a great game.

-Jojo part 5 vento aureo is the worst part of the whole franchise, its a huge waste of potential, having giorno be the son of dio and never involving that into his character or the plot, the villain is also uninteresting

-The whole joke of kirby being this hyper powerful lovecraftian creature is unfunny and boring

-I would like if FF7 had stayed as the 7th entry of the series instead of the golden egg chicken it became, im tired of seeing it

Say what you will about Sargon of Akkad and his politics but I personally think he debunked those claims very well despite me being a staunchly anti-war anarcho-capitalist myself.
- Disney's Pocahontas is a legitimately great movie despite its historical inaccuracies and miscellaneous flaws.
- Shrek 2 is overrated. Don't get me wrong. It's a good movie and all but the 1st Shrek is just way superior to it in almost every single way imo.
- On the topic of Shrek, Shrek the Third is the best Shrek sequel and if anything, I personally think that Shrek Forever After is the worst one out of the 4 'mainline' Shrek movies so far.

To put it simply, I do not understand the fighting game community and its obsessions with gameplay mechanics, cheap characters, nerfs, etc. There's always people in that community who do things like

Complaining that a character is too OP.

Saying that a character is bad because they were nerfed/buffed

Complaining about hitboxes

Banning certain characters and stages from competitive play

Talking down on others because of their game of choice. Imagine getting bullied by someone because you play Smash Ultimate instead of Melee, for example

And you know what, I just don't give a damn. I don't care if a character is cheap, a joke, overpowered , don't care about hitboxes, and I most definitely do not care about complex or casual, simple gameplay. Why? Because I just want to have fun. I have zero interest in pro tournaments or anything like that.

Touhou Luna Nights is a fangame that I don't like more then I want to admit, & it's because of my mindset of fanon affecting the game(s) in certain ways. Despite the amount of effort that's put to the game, doesn't change my feelings for it as it got to the point that I just set the game volume to 0 because of how mad I ended up being. I'm willing to give it a second chance, but the artificial difficulty of Grazing to get your HP & MP back & the MP is used for every attack you do, risk and reward I guess, as if the game isn't hard enough already, may turn me away from ever replaying it again (being one of the problems I have with this game).

There are things to like about the game, but I might not play it again. I'd rather play a castlevania game then this.

I struggled with Cirno ok, I was desperate to finish the game, And seeing BeatMario in the credits just settles the deal.

Sonic 06 is a remake of Sonic Adventure.
