I actually read all about what the Japanese words on that screen mean and
people actually thought it was haunted, but it wasn't. Like, it said "screen by
Majin", the word "Majin" which in Japanese translates to
"demon", but I read all about what that was about and it was just the nickname
of the person who made that screen. References to that nickname can be found as
Easter eggs in a whole bunch of different Japanese games from various brands.
I think I even remember reading that this guy was a major developer on the
Japanese team at Sega that made Sonic.

Still, regardless of the fact this screen isn't haunted, I find it creepy as well.
Most people do. It makes sense....it's very eerie, especially with that laughing
voice thing.

yeah it was something like "Fun is infinite with Sega enterprises - Signed Majin". This was like 20 years ago and I went through a phase of watching creepy gaming stuff so that was fun.
