Your dream mugen character

If you gained the ability to make your dream mugen character from scratch.

What would they be like?

Normal character or boss and why?

Human, android/cyborg, full on robot, or other?

Would they have a story? What would it be about?

Here's mine:

My character would be of a normal character that I once written about in a story. She would carry with her a sword, rifle, and a magical rod and could use all three in battle. The sword would be up close and combo pretty easily, while the rifle would be far range and the rod be a mix of the two. Switching between all three at the right time would allow the biggest and best combos that the character would be able to pull off.

She would seem pretty weak at first with 1000 health, capped at 3000 power, 80 attack power, and 100 defense power. This is because my character would be known for always holding back and being hesitant and too careful. So in battle at the cost of 500 power, the character would be able to remove 5 imaginary chains. 2 from the arms which each raising power by 10 when removed. 2 from the legs which would increase movement speed by 10% each, and one from the body (or head) which would allow power to raise up to 5000. These removals would be perma so it wouldn't be a hassle to do them every round.

They would become automatic at the start of the final round if the character lost the last round, all except the power one. Once all the chains that hold the character back are gone, it allows them at the cost of 3000 power to open up a state that makes them 20% + 30 bonus power stronger all around. But only when health is 250 or less. So their attack would now be 150 and defense be 120. This will unlock the best of the character abilities and a on hit ko special attack. But the catch is they have 25 seconds to do this as the special state would drain their health until their dead. They can cancel the state at anytime but cannot re enable it as it is a 1 time final round deal.

My character would be a human, their story would pretty much be finding a part of them they lost a long time ago. To restore how she used to be and to feel whole once again.

( Actually now that I think about it, I kind of want to make this character. XD )

Ryu from Breath of Fire IV. It would be wonderful for me to have this char in my Mugen.

One of my dream characters name would be Din Tenor, but nobody would know his name because in Din's ideal world there would be no names. You see, Din works toward a singular goal; to change the world where the only identifiable trait that matters to an individual is the sound of their voice. People would identify each other by the periodic variation of their voice's pitch. Preferably humanity would do away with eyes as well, but Din is a patient man, and doesn't want to be perceived as unreasonable outside the gate. He has mastery of his own voice, and along with his group of followers can make themselves heard throughout the cosmos when they speak in unison. He doesn't enjoy using his auditory abilities for violence, but is more than willing to against the numerous cast of characters of the fighting game world if it means realizing his ambitions.

Either Din or maybe Sinbad from Magi, he is a cool character too....

If I were a little more decent in coding... I'd be down to search for a spriter to work with me on some stuff I've always wanted:

- An Apollo Justice/Trucy Wright Hybrid (Two characters in one. Think Chizuru & Maki Kagura, with them having their own moveset and tagging via supers. They could have a Shared Level 3 involving the Perceive ability);
- Elphelt Valentine;
- Tekkaman Blade;
- Leonardo (and the rest of TMNT as assists);
- An original character of mine (He's supposed to be an Elementalist Paladin, kind of) with multiple stances;
- Mundus, as a boss character like the Giants (Apocalypse, Onslaught);
- The MIA characters from UMvC3/Infinite.

All of them being, of course, in MvC Style. A man can dream, right?

the StrikerS versions of Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa Harlaown, all the forwards of Lost Property Riot Force 6 who aren't Subaru (Teana, Erio, and Caro), Vivio Takamachi, Einhart Stratos, a decent Gunvolt "The Azure Striker", a decent Copen "The Adept Slayer", Dancouga, Dancouga Nova, Gurren Lagann, Strike Freedom Gundam, Crossbone Gundam X-1, Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth, a decent Gundam MK-II, Milla Maxwell (from Tales of Xillia), a decent Tekkaman Blade, a decent Cure Moonlight, Kizuna A.I. (from a Japanese YouTube channel named "A.I. Channel"), Alolan Raichu, Bewear (I'm working on a sprite sheet for it as of typing), Naganadel, Viacom's "V of Doom" (as a boss character), and Screen Gems's "S from Hell" (again, as a boss character)




Especially the StrikerS versions of Nanoha & Fate and the Strike Freedom Gundam

A good MvC version of Tessa/Tabasa from Red Earth/Warzard to complete my roster.

I'm currently using a version made by ryokucha. If you didn't already, then maybe you should check her out!

She's playable alright, but could use some enhancements.

I have that version, its decent once you know the commands for her moves, but she struggles against chars that are faster than her and that's it because she is lacking her chakura wave move that other versions has, a better mobility and a Pushblock, like you said she could use some enhancements. Funny enough she was a pain to find, every forum i went was only sending her in private way, at the end i guess is better than nothing but still, she could be better... way better, i certainly wish i was a coder.

and would be based on attacking the opponent by surprise with his speed and easy to input combos. he's no air fighter, though, and has no throws
and about story... my brain is low on imagination so i guess not

Personally, If I had the ability to do that, It'd be hard to pick a character to make for me, Though personally I'd love to try and make a custom version of Akane Owari from Danganronpa 2 with her own custom movelist. I could see Akane's moveset being quick and strong, with grapples and aerial kicking attacks. I'd probably make her own custom sprited stuff too. I'm not sure what style of gameplay I'd go for, though I'd think she'd work well with a KOF or Blazblue playstyle. Custom Winquotes are a definite too!

Other characters I'd love to make would be a custom sprited Kukri from KOF XIV that plays just like a KOF character, and possibly Raven from Guilty Gear, since I'd love to use them both in MUGEN.

My Dream characters are just any Creative, Weird, Original or Cute im not picky. Characters like Gurospooo, Dee Bee Kaw, Zoomekun, Elque, NMori Yagami, Nijikaku chars, ect.
