humm, idk i think it was killing floor but in the suicidal difficulty. i was dead in a few seconds xD
I would add the entire dark souls series, but, I'd have to go with bloodborne. Dark souls, I actually managed, struggled, and beaten without too much rage. But, Bloodborne? I never beat it. Cause of poor choices are sloppy gameplay.

Pulstar,beautiful game,but i've never been able to defeat the final boss! Many of my favorite shoot em ups they had levels of difficulty that touched the impossible,like almost all those made by Cave.
all right, CUPHEAD BY FAR, i ve played some shooter like starwars battler front 2, call of duty the big red one, bioshock,gun and run megaman, but it none of them i ve being kicked so many times, there are many arcade games that could empty my pocket but, like metal slug 3 and 4, but nothing like cuphead, its my favorite game but its as hard as diamond and merciless as a meteor

btw, im not a native english speaker but if you add ever like hardest game you ve ever played it would sound more nice XD, sorry for being a smart pants(wise ***) but we always have to improve, in grammar, editing, coding, always we have to improve our skills

recently I found Prince of Persia Rival Swords pretty frustrating: weird camera control system, painful gameplay (literally painful for the hands after just 30 minutes), difficult enemies even at Normal difficulty. I trashed that rom because the game froze right at the end of a seemingly endless puzzle. What a frustration, curse you Ubisoft.
less recently: too many to count them all.

For me, it's Mega Man X7. (I HATE FLAME HYENARD).
The hardes game i have ever played was (i believe) the first Rayman for Playstation 1. The god damn Music level (or better the whole world) killed so many controllers. >.<
Looking back i really ask myself how in hell 10 years old or younger children are supposed to finish that game.I really loved Spyro and Crash but Rayman was a bi**h.
