I like Sonic Adventure 1 a lot. In my opinion Sonic Adventure 2 is probably the objectively better game, but I have more nostalgia for SA1. I also really like Sonic 3 & Knuckles, as well as the soundtrack for Shadow the Hedgehog.
My favorite Sonic game... it's definitely gotta be 3 & Knuckles so far - I'm planning on playing Sonic Heroes soon though, so this opinion might change.

Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. I was addicted to them for ages back in the day, and you could even combine them to make one massive game. And they had just about the only special stages in the Sonic games I could actually do, so I got to finish them properly.

I would go for Sonic Mania. Such a cool, fresh experience that is also compatible with modern players. The bosses, in my opinion, have a good amount of effort in them.
I have that on my Switch, as well as the Mania Plus DLC. Mighty & Ray are so fun to mess around with.Quote:

The fact that it was a fighting game surprised me too much coming from Sonic.
I like that the game focuses on starting with a very weak character and then copying abilities and attacks from other characters to strengthen it... There are endless combinations of movements to do.

the DS ones, my uncle emulated it for me before and loved it ever since
Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic CD. Most of the ones that came out on handhelds are incredibly good, so you can't go wrong with them either.
I have never played Sonic '06, but from the components of it that I did like (the things that aren't Sonic shit) it's the best one.
Probably Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
The actual gameplay doesn't do anything for me, but man do i love raising Chaos, especially with the Chao Island mod on PC that adds a bunch of cool new features and really fleshes out Chao-raising.
Now if only it ran normally on my PC...
Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Generations, Adventure 2 has a place in my heart though since it was my first sonic game
