goooood morning, afternoon, evening and good night. i'm just a dude that's got a big love for fighting games so a big collaborative fighting game project like mugen is right up my alley. i hope to be able to supply some good characters but if I can't then I still hope to have a good time enjoying the game and the community

Greetings everyone. Since of the community weekend event, I want to introduce a glimpse of me (shy). I am a newcomer to this board/forum and i know Mugen for years. I didn't know this site until 2021. I am not a creator of Mugen characters, but if i find sometime, i might create a character one day, ok, it really depends on the mood and other kinds of factors. I played M.U.G.E.N quite a bit like 10 or 15 years ago, and I randomly decided to download it again since my computer's hardware is being a bit wonky. I just happened to come back here at the start of the community weekend, perfect timing I say! LOL

Since its been a while since I've played, I will most definitely appreciate any suggestions anyone wants to throw my way. Thanks for having me back!

I'm from Belgium, 36 years old and I really like fighting games. I messed around with MUGEN quite a bit back in the day but recently got into it again and now I'm trying to make a decent build with a focused theme. I'm also beginning to understand the coding a little bit (just the basic stuff for now) and Fighter Factory too. I'm really having a great time with building my roster and searching for characters and stages here on the website. I'll try to be more active in the forum too.

Hello first time poster here. After watching some mugen vids with megaman x characters, namely Magma Dragoon and Mattrex. Shortly after I started to wonder if there was a site for stuff like this. My experience with fighting games is minimal. Most of the time that I played them was when I went over to a friend's house who really liked them and that kind of peaked my interest. I found out about MUGEN a couple years ago and I thought it was cool to have so many characters in a fighting game but I always hesitated to try it out for some reason until now. I find it really fun to collect characters and learn all of their special moves and combos. Anyways, cheers!

Hello, been messing with MUGEN after years of...Not really doing that despite my interest (haha). But yeah, I also write fictional stories about teenagers doing random stuff if they're not in any sort of crazy situation. :laugh:

I used to hang out on this site back on 2018 and 2019, until some things in life happened and i decided to leave a lot of stuff behind.

Now that things are settling down, guess i'm here to (hopefully) stay and go back to one of the things i enjoy: fighting games.
As for myself, i'm just an average nerd that finds the ideas of crossovers between series pretty neat, and M.U.G.E.N. is definitely the ultimate game for it. And i don't consider myself good at fighting games, but i try and learn how to play better, while of course enjoying it.

And that's pretty much it. It's nice to be back.

Hey everyone, I just discovered MUGEN this week. no idea how ive never heard of it with building simple arcades for friends. My question is what are the best screen packs for mk, anime, and superheros(dc and marvel). the work everyone has done that i have seen is amazing. Hello, I'm FARstrike and I'm a lurker trying to finally shed his lurker habits. I've been away from the MUGEN scene since 2016 but, lately, I've been itching to get back into rebuilding my MUGEN roster. I also hope to interact a bit more directly with the community that produces and archives the various MUGEN works out there. Like I said before, I'm trying to break my old never-post-anything habits of old. Nevertheless, glad to be here and hope for good experiences going forward.

Hi there fellow creators and downloaders alike. I used to be super active in the mugen community back in the day, specifically the anime mugen community. I was a jack of all trades I coded chars, stages, screenpacks , made effects and even tried spriting(i suck). I was active during 2008 -2013; then life happened college, job etc and I had to put this on hold but you know old habits die hard. And so here I am seeking out a new community to create and share content with all the people who I knew from back in the day are not longer active have moved on so I hope this place stays super active so that I can meet some new people.

heyo nothing special about me I used to play street fighter alpha when I was younger on an arcade near my house the place got closed and I dropped out of fighting games. Now I'm back at it and I hope to get better than I was before and bring some of my friends into it as well! Since local tournaments are always fun. I might also learn how to create stuff here sometime.

Hey all, I just recalled this game again after having forgotten about it for years. I'm 21 now, but I have so many memories of messing around with characters as a kid. I'm glad that this forum exists, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a lot of those memories I cherish. I'm excited to look at what the community has been up to all these years.

I'm usually known around the internet (MUGEN or Videogame websites) as GalFord. I like to play MUGEN as a distraction and to see the fun concepts that creators come up with. I used to write FAQs for lesser known fighting games, but haven't done that for many years now.

I'm not exactly a new user, since I've been around since 2016, but I never really contributed to anything to the site...unless you include the crappy edit of morrigan I posted a few years ago lol
I'm a digital artist, worked mainly with low-res 8-bit megaman stuff, but I also can get around with larger resolutions and non-pixelated art. I also can draw traditionally at an acceptable level
I have very few knowledge on making something custom in mugen, even tho I tried making a character from scratch a long time ago. But I have an ongoing project to make a mugen roster, where the characters are the most accurate to their base games I can get my hands on. Its pretty fun. The not so fun part is getting ai patches from dead japanese blogs

Fighting games that have more than 3 buttons are the bane of my existence, even tho I really enjoy watching it being played

I've been watching random MUGEN videos from time to time, always entranced by the creativity of the community yet being scared off from joining in on my own due to my lack of experience in 2D fighting games or art or...maybe just my anxiety in general scared me off. Well, I just randomly thought to myself one day, "Y'know, I just turned 25 and I'm only going to get crustier as the years go on, so why not?" and bam, I decided to create this account. My current dream is to hopefully create some cool characters and stages for everyone to enjoy, though this is probably going to involve doubling down on those fighting games I skipped out on for Pokemon so much as a kid (so far I'm really liking Darkstalkers 3's aesthetics).

The video games I typically do play are platformers like those in the Kirby, Mario, and Klonoa franchises. Some other games I like are Cuphead, Undertale, Stardew Valley, and 100% Orange Juice. Other things I like are anime (Bungou Stray Dogs, Tiger & Bunny, Mob Psycho 100, Trigun, and Noragami are my top picks), hiking, ice skating, amusement parks, Vtubers (mainly Holostars), and Halloween in general.
