Hi I play mugen and sometimes use sprites to make memes. Thx
If I may introduce myself, I am Mr. Rad and I like mugen, especially spectator mode, as I haven't seen it before in another fighting game aside smash.
I'm your doctor, Robeouksisdkfkpoakpopokfaokp1414. I love Mugen and aspire to put Mugen inside an arcade cabinet and have all my friends play it with me. Someday... I love this site, and am thankful for all the characters that are on here and wish to make some. If anybody wants to hit me up, I'm fine with that. I'll be posting here. Have a great day
Hello, I'm not a stranger to mugen. I used to be heavily into it, did make lifebars and stages. I still have some private characters from a super long time ago thanks to mugen infantry. I'm back because of some of the characters and I crave fighting games.
To be honest i made this a year ago to get more bandwidth to get more mugen characters. I'm not a stranger to Mugen or here actually but just now im getting on here and learning about the community, I can't code at all, and I can sprite (barely).
Hey, I'm new too MUGEN. and just wanted to say hey
Hi I'm Mr.Frie Frie. You can call me Jason if you want. You may or most likely do not know me from Steam as I tend to be there mostly. I like to mess around with MUGEN a bit every here and there. My favorite video games are probably the Half-Life series, Portal Series, Fallout series, and also basically anything Nintendo makes.
I discovered this site and mugen a couple of days ago. Starting from here I got it installed and a few characters. I got a couple of variations of the game from other sites and have a general idea of how to put the file system together from looking through those. I've tinkered with (and ruined then reset) a couple of characters while experimenting with how the modifications interact with the engine already, but have only made enough progress to generally tweak ai vs ai matches by way of stats (life/attack/defense).
At any rate, I've discovered this now and have enough interest to hang around and learn more.
Hello.
I am not as much into the fighting game genre, with the exception of Smash Bros., but I do like to jump into Mugen from time to time just as a means of messing around. It just goes to show for something that has been around since the early to mid 2000s is still going strong even to this day with hundreds of different types of MUGEN fangames, characters being created from different forms of media, screenpacks and the like.
I may not be as experienced in content creation like these people, as pixel art is something I can hardly get a knack for, and I stick with general art. I am a gamer to the heart, and seeing different Youtube videos being uploaded of different MUGEN battles are enjoyable, even if almost 80% of them are from 5+ years ago and the characters/screenpacks used for some of those videos are dated or just doesn't exist anymore, as well as some creators only creating a character to show off but not having any intention to upload to the public, despite the fact they created a damn solid character that many would want to play with.
I visit this site because it is really the only main MUGEN archive sight that is frequently updated with new content and updates to older creations, and while I really don't care for much commenting on something I just really want to play the game with the character that someone created, I do respect the original creators for putting in the time an effort for their creations and hope they continue do more in the future and improve on older creations.
That is all I have to say about that.
So, thank you.
Hey, I'm dottle and I mainly use Mugen for memes and fun. I'll be honest, I don't understand much about making characters and stages but it won't hurt to give it a shot now n then, right? I hope to one day revive and old char and have others in hope others will hop on the bandwagon. lol.
I probably wont be too chatty bc life, but I'll try my best to stop by and say hello.
greetings, I've known about Mugen for ages. But have only recently gotten around to using it. Been putting together a "everything and the kitchen sink" type Mugen together the last few months.
Hey everyone!
I'm kinda new to all of this, actually stumbled scross Mugen accidentally and thought it looked interesting...
Anywyas, there's not much interesting to say about me sooo... Hi!
Greetings.
New blood here.
Have heard of MUGEN before, watched the stream of random fights (as far as I remember, there were bets?) but haven't really looked into it until today.
The main reason I joined is I wanted to make a custom fighting game, and suddenly remembered about this being a thing.
That being said, I would appreciate if someone more experienced could help push me in the right direction considering making custom characters and whatnot.
Won't go into details because I'm not really sure this is the right thread.
Thanks in advance,
PackOCigs
Hey, I'm called Stotterfied and I'm just starting out when it comes to playing MUGEN, I'd like to learn how to make characters so I can bring some of my fave movie characters to MUGEN
Thanks for listening,
Stotterfied
Hi I'm Jude, very new to all of this but I want to become a member of this community as it seems really nice heard about this whole thing from a friend and just got more and more interested until I decided to try it out, really pleased I have now
Hi! I am probably not going to post much but this community seems pretty nice. I like Juri a lot.
Hey, everyone! I'm new here, obviously, wanted to stop by and check out the forums to see what the community here is like. I've been a huge fan of playing around with M.U.G.E.N. for years, and had boatloads of obscure, and usually poorly made chars in my roster, usually because I enjoyed either beating them up or just seeing what crazy things people can come up with. A few years later, I sort of took a break from the game because I was in the mood to play something else for a change. Well, later on, I was moving all my files to a new PC and I forgot to back up all of my M.U.G.E.N. files before completely wiping the drive. I certainly regret this decision.... But, now I'm starting fresh and I've been slowly trying to recover all of my files I had before. It's still not easy, but this website has made it so much easier to recover the obscure characters that I had years ago. Seriously, I can't express how grateful I am that this site exists, it's helped me recover almost half of what I had before (and I had a lot of characters before), so I thank those who own this site and keep it running.
Unfortunately though, the site doesn't have everything, which is usually the case with most things in life. And sadly, after the many years the characters I had in the past dwelling inside some old file on MediaFire or 4shared, many of them have become lost to time. I certainly could use help in re-obtaining them, as I believe at this point, the only way to recover them would be to get them from someone else who still happens to have said characters, but I'll leave that for its own thread.
Hello,
It's been so many years since I worked/hanged around the Mugen community and wanted to pass by and say Hi to everyone and see how it has been doing after so much time. I think it's probably a nolstalgia thing.
The thing is... I'm quite lost haha. Can anybody give me a quick summary on what's up within the Mugen world, did Elecbyte finished and/or made other things?
Also if you have any question regarding me feel free to ask!
Thank you.
Here is what I know.....
I dont know when you left but the only new thing I could think of is Mugen 1.1 thats new. But the community is still toxic as ever making bad edits of characters and punching bags. Not only that it seems that a lot of the popular characters now seem to be really cheap as a cheap character phase is going on if that makes any sense.
