We've had technical issues yesterday which are related to the gigantic amount of content that we host. From what I understand, one of the core partitions of the HDDs ran out of space which has caused several engines and the whole site to crash eventually.

After deleting some deprecated content from the core partitions, the servers were restarted and everything seemed fine, but some parts of the database were corrupt as the result of the former events which has caused errors to happen on the site for a few hours.

The database was eventually repaired and we haven't lost any content apart from some metadata which has been regenerated ever since.

So are we all good? Not yet, the issue will come back if we don't expand the core partitions, so the site will soon be on maintenance and a downtime is to be expected. The downtime could last from minutes to hours depending on unexpected technical issues.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, if there is a downtime, I guess I'll just watch videos of Maximilian Dood.

Anyways, good luck fixing everything Diz!

do you think a 1 or 2 tb solid state drive might help the site?

How about a 5 tb solid state drive? But that will cost Diz a lot of money.
