    Default [W.I.P.] - SvK Dragon Claw edit (First ever on mugen!?)

    Hi my friends. Well, this might be the greatest mugen project I'm working on... I might not be a professional coder/spriter/artist whatever, but I want to make a nice SvK Styled Dragon Claw!!! If someone has a very nice, tweaked Dragon Claw Background with black background (like Infinite used more recently), please, send me the file. I made one but it's kinda lame... whatever.

    Before someone says, I won't be using Infinite's sprites, I will keep dragon claw as he originally was.

    Please, I want some feedback. I was going to post without telling anyone, but it's a bit tough and dunno if it will be as good as I want

    EDIT: Now, looking at the files, he used lots of MUGEN stock sprites, I'll be changing those for Infinite ones.

    To do:
    -Reassess damage dampening system (difficult)
    -Test to look for bugs and neverending combos.

    -Hyper Background and hyper effects added
    -Combo system adjusted
    -Subsequent move animations edit for more combo fluidity
    -Added Hyper charge sprites and animation codes
    -Added Infinite's hitsparks
    -Added Infinite's sound effects
    -Adjusted damage dampening system (It was dealing too much damage due to MvC combo system)
    -Adjusted Super jump height
    -Adjusted running speed (still more nimble than most SvK chars)
    -Added running effect animations
    -Adjusted specials' damage
    -Adjusted Flash Step animation speed (to be able to chain from medium or fierce hits)
    -Throw command changed to fwd+FP or FK
    -Hyper command changed to MvC style
    -Remap palette (Palette 1 to A button and Palette 4 to X button)
    -Sprite 9000,1 switched to a more SvK one
    -Reworked specials and hypers to link to any normal hit
    -Rechecked if DC didn't lose its original components
    -Improved counter length for easier usage (same length as other SvK counter timer)
    -Heightened slashes' hitsounds' amplitude
    -Added Dragon Claw voice to taunt (used original file 100,0 that was not implemented)
    -Added SvK hitsounds to his kicking hitsounds
    -Improved Air juggle
    -Improved Air combo

    To do:
    Mess with AI system. (f****** have to learn it)

    Thx man... its code looks like it was made by dr. frankenstein, but its gameplay is getting quite nice

    I agree the second background is too static, a dynamic pose almost always fits better.
    Good luck messing with its untypical AI, it seems very difficult to me.

    That's what I thought, Anji. The BG number 1 actually was the second I "did", because I thought the first was too static. On top of that I'm thinking about removing Dragon Claw's meta hyper moves, improve their damage and give separate commands then have them as level 2 and 3 hypers using the hyper BG 2, as newer SvK chars do. Or maybe make new animations and create brand new hypers... that's food for thought (for me), but will make the release postponed (I don't want to keep releasing updates). And for the AI... well... this AI is nuts. It's kind of working properly even without changing it, but I will be oblied to mess with it when adding new hypers.

    Well, for everyone thinking this f******* WIP is dead, well it is not. I had all my wisdom teeth removed so the project is much slower thanks to that and thanks to how difficult it is to create a proper hyper for Dragon Claw. I hope when I get the know how of this, every other hyper I create will be much faster, unless I want to add lots of effects like slow-mo, yadda yadda.

    for now:

    -Hit times and ground slide velocity adapted
    -Fierce dash special (QCB + FP) now knocks enemy down
    -Adjusted F + MK comboability, now it works properly

    Hello guys, after a lot of work from my narrow free time, I finally present the first customized Lvl 2 Hyper for SvK Dragon Claw! As for most Infinite Lvl 2 hypers, it is basically a high damaging combo, using 2000 energy, as default.



    Hope you guys find it appropriate!

    I think dragonclaw is the only one that guy released right? It sucks there couldn't have been more. You have a lot of good stuff to work with though.

    Actually he released Evil Ken and Evil Ryu I guess but not sure

    Going on:
    -Added "automatic" super jump follow up after launcher
    -Added fall effects
    -Added QCF + P projectile

    I think your fxs from the video really fit the character well. This is a good blend you have right here for this version. I think the snk stuff is really gonna help Dragon Claw.

    thx man, most of them come from Infinite style's main characters, as most of them uses SNK stuff, which are rather stunning to the eyes.

    More going on:
    -Level 3 hyper n°1 done
    -Created and added more sprites for projectiles and explods

    Right now I'm having some issues with pre-fight mobility. I'm expecting some help from more experienced coders on another forum.

    Issues solved, now it's time for the Second Level 2 Hyper from Infinite Style Dragon Claw, now with movie as little preview.
